How Many Episodes Are in Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+?
This is the way. The Star Wars adventure continues with more episodes of the fan-favorite live-action Disney+ series, The Mandalorian. With new episodes premiering every week, fans look forward to seeing Mando and The Child travel across the galaxy together — again.
Season 1 of the ‘Star Wars’ series, ‘The Mandalorian,’ is available on Disney’s streaming platform
When Disney+ premiered during November 2019, it came with a number of original and exclusive television shows. That includes the first-ever Star Wars live-action multi-episode series, The Mandalorian.
Taking place after the fall of the Empire but before the First Order’s rise to power, The Mandalorian tells the story of one unexplored corner of the galaxy. In this series, fans first met the Mandalorian, a stoic bounty hunter who stumbles upon a pretty valuable “asset.”
This Child was nicknamed Baby Yoda by Star Wars fans and, after deciding not to hand him over, the Mandalorian protects this Child at all costs. The first season includes 8 episodes, each of them premiering on a weekly basis. Presumably, new episodes of this series will follow a similar premiere format.
How many episodes are in season 2 of the ‘Star Wars’ series?
According to Decider, just like the first season of this action series, The Mandalorian Season 2 will consist of 8 “chapters” or episodes. The article states that, “the season premiere should be available to stream at approximately 3:01 a.m. ET / 12:01 a.m PT on release day, Oct. 30.” However, more information will presumably be announced in the coming weeks.
Until then, fans can catch a glimpse into this series with the official trailer, which shows Mando running into a few other characters. That includes a mysterious Jedi and the Rebel shock trooper from season 1, Cara Dune.
Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’ premieres during October 2020
About a year following The Mandalorian’s first season, this series is coming back to Disney+. According to director Jon Favreau, the story will be even “less isolated,” but still feature fan-favorite characters.
“The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world,” Jon Favreau said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.”
“Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy,” executive producer and director Dave Filoni added.
Episodes of The Mandalorian are available on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering on Oct. 30, 2020 and new episodes premiering on a weekly basis.
Until then, fans can watch episodes of the docu-series regarding the creation of the original show, titled Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. To learn more about Disney’s streaming platform and to subscribe, visit their website.
