How Many Kids Do Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Want?
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are parents to two adorable little boys. And this past January, they announced that they’ll be welcoming their third child in late spring. The two are incredibly excited to be welcoming another baby, but how many kids do they plan to have?
Jessa and Ben recently announced they’re expecting their third child
Jessa and Ben Seewald took to Instagram in January 2019 to announce that another little one was on the way. The couple currently has two boys; Spurgeon, who is four, and Henry, who is two. Now, they’re gearing up to add another member to the family. Jessa and Ben have discussed having more kids for a while; last year, there were several rumors that Jessa was already pregnant, but clearly, those were false. Now, the couple has announced that they’re expecting a child in late spring, so we can expect to see their family to grow in late May or early June.
Jessa Seewald comes from an extremely large family
If Jessa’s family is any indication of how many children she’ll have, then there must be a lot more on the way for her. Jessa comes from a family of 21; two parents and 19 children. The Duggar family had its own TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, which was a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to live in such a big family. The show was eventually canceled due to Josh Duggar’s scandals, but the children continued with their own show, Counting On. Now, the kids are starting families of their own, and Jessa will be the first of the daughters to welcome a third child. And since Jessa came from a family of 19 kids, it’s likely she’ll want several children herself.
Jessa and Ben will have had three children within five years — and she’s only 26
When Jessa welcomes her third child, it means that she and Ben will have had three children in about five years. That isn’t necessarily an indication that she’ll have six children in 10 years or nine children in 15 years, but since she’s only 26, it’s a pretty good indication that this third child won’t be her last. The Seewalds haven’t given a specific number in terms of how many children they want, but they have indicated that they want a big family.
The couple has said they see many more children in their future — and might even adopt
When the couple did an interview with Us Weekly back in 2016, they said that they hope to see many more babies in their future. Plus, Jessa and Ben have always wanted to adopt, and even after Jessa became pregnant with her second child, the couple said they were still strongly considering adoption. If that’s still on the table, they’ll have at least one more child after their third. But the Duggars were also raised to not prevent pregnancy in any way (which explains Michelle’s 19 kids), so we have a feeling that Jessa and Ben will welcome several more children in their lifetime.
