How Many Kids Does ‘Power’ Star Larenz Tate Have?

Even more so, when two celebrities — like Larenz Tate and Tomasina Parrott — beat the Hollywood odds and inch towards nearly 20 years of marriage. Having kids, however, is the icing on the cake when it comes to celebrity news.
As for the Power star and his wife, their family has been growing in recent years, and there are whispers of more to come!
Larenz Tate and his body of work
Tate’s acting career took off when he was cast into the role of Older Brother in the 1985 TV series The Twilight Zone. Since then, there’s been no shortage of roles in film and TV available to him.
He’s best known for playing Peter in Crash, Darius Lovehall in Love Jones, O-Dog in Menace II Society, and Quincy Jones in Ray. In addition to his continued growth as an actor, Tate has also partnered with his brothers — Lahmard and LaRon Tate — to create TateMen Entertainment, a multi-media production company.
“What I look for in a script is the plot point and whether they’re strong, obviously, or not, whether the characters are rich or not, and if I can do justice to the character or not,” the Beta Test star said about choosing his roles, according to IMDb. “Some movies you look at, and the script is so bad that no one can do anything with the script. I mean, that’s probably why Denzel Washington turns down so much. It’s like, why go through all the ups and downs of trying to have a phenomenal performance when the movie is just bad all around?”
His wife and kids
In 2006, Tate married Hollywood actor Tomasina Parrott, best known for being in Along Came Polly, Starsky & Hutch, and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous. Together they have three boys named Miles Xavier Tate, Zander Tate, and Zion Tate. Besides sharing their kids’ names, the two Hollywood actors typically shy away from revealing much about their boys.
According to MadameNoire, Tate doesn’t mind the limelight, but they’re committed to maintaining a certain level of privacy regarding their kids and family.
“We have three boys. And for us, our children are truly our pride and joy,” the Deuces star said in 2017. “I’m out there. But when it comes to our children, our three boys, it’s okay to have some level of privacy.”
Tate’s vows to his sons
According to BET, Tate vows to raise his sons with the knowledge that negative stigmas do not define them. “You are going to have great times; you’re going to have high and lows. You’re going to have missteps, but understand with your missteps comes consequences, and your consequences are always going to be more severe than those who don’t look like you,” he said. “I’ll say, ‘don’t let that define you.'”
He also vows to raise them with the utmost respect for women, including the essential lessons on how to interact with a woman. “We are not going to be wildin’ out and doing crazy things with women where you are toxic, you know, calling them crazy names and putting hands. We are not doing all of that.”
There’s not much Power star Larenz Tate and his wife Tomasina can’t handle after nearly 20 years of marriage, including taking on the responsibility of raising three young boys into three responsible and respectful grown men. Still, whispers have been floating around about a fourth child, but the private Tate family has yet to confirm the news.
