How Many Times Has Dennis Rodman Been Married and How Many Children Does He Have?
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was one of the biggest names in the league in the late ’80s and throughout the ’90s. He was a member of the Detroit Bad Boys when he played with the Pistons and later joined forces with superstars Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on the Chicago Bulls.

How many times Rodman has tied the knot
During his playing days, Rodman dated a few high-profile women including Madonna and Vivica A. Fox, and he was also married to a celebrity.
In November 1998, he and model Carmen Electra eloped in Las Vegas. The pair had a turbulent relationship and wed after Electra’s mother and sister died. The Baywatch actress later admitted in an interview that she married the NBA player in “direct response to the numbing emotional pain.”
Their union lasted six months before they divorced.
Rodman’s marriage to Electra was his second. He was previously married to another model named Annie Bakes. They met in 1987 and began dating for a while before tying the knot in 1992. However, they decided to end their marriage shortly after saying “I do.” Bakes said they divorced because Rodman stopped going to couples therapy with her.
“When Dennis and I were married, I told him the only way I would stay with him was if we went to get counseling,” she shared, adding, “He agreed to go, but after a couple of times, he (quit).”
In 2000, Rodman took a break from basketball to concentrate on other projects.
During that time he married his third wife, Michelle Moyer. They walked down the aisle in 2003. Moyer filed for divorce in 2004. The two tried to work things out for several years but to no avail. Their divorce was finalized in 2012.
How many children does he have?
The athlete has three children. One with Bakes and two with Moyer.
Rodman and Bakes’ daughter, Alexis, was born in 1988. Rodman had a number of legal issues and struggled with alcohol addiction when Alexis was a child but they have a good relationship today. In 2017, he became a grandfather when Alexis gave birth to a son named Vincent.
Rodman’s son, DJ, was born in 2000 followed by his second daughter, Trinity, in 2001.
After celebrating 30 days of sobriety in 2018, Rodman said his motivation to stay sober was to see DJ and Trinity achieve their dreams in basketball and soccer. DJ is a forward for the Washington State Cougars and Trinity is a member of the United States Women’s National Team.
“I want to see my kids grow up,” the five-time NBA champion previously told Page Six. “I just needed to stop partying, take a step back, and get my life back in order…A lot of people connect me with partying and being a bad boy, but now I am getting up in age, so I felt it was time [to] step back and to re-evaluate my life.”
Rodman’s own father had 29 kids
Rodman’s own father, Philander Rodman Jr., had 29 kids by 16 different women.
The former Bulls star and his dad were estranged for more than 40 years but in 2006, they met up after an exhibition game in the Philippines where Philander lives.
“I’ve been trying to meet him for years. And then last night, boom, I met him. I was really, really happy and very surprised,” Philander said via The Associated Press.
