The new documentary about the Jonas Brothers revealed a lot about their life on stage, but there was one moment that was left out of the film. Director John Taylor recently revealed that they cut the moment that Nick Jonas told his brothers that he was head-over-heels in love with Priyanka Chopra. In talking about the documentary, Chasing Happiness, Taylor explained how the cameras actually caught Nick telling his brothers about Chopra. After falling hard for Chopra, Nick flew to Australia and immediately told his brothers that he had been “struck” by love. Although the scene did not make it onto the film, Taylor did preserve the footage for fans to enjoy someday.

“Nick walks into Joe’s place in Australia and says, ‘I’ve been struck,’ and he’s talking about Priyanka [Chopra],” Taylor shared.

According to Bustle, the only reason why the scene did not make it past the final cut was that it did not fit with the rest of the narrative. In fact, Taylor revealed that they filmed a lot of similar scenes with Nick Jonas’ other brothers, who were never shy about gushing over their significant others.

This includes shots of Joe Jonas talking about Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, and Kevin Jonas’ discussing his wife, Danielle. But at the end of the day, the love admissions did not mesh well with what Taylor and his team wanted to portray.

Fans are likely disappointed by the decision to cut Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s scene, but Taylor really wanted to focus on the three brothers and their comeback to music. When they started the documentary, however, Taylor admitted that they did not have a clear vision in mind.

But around the halfway mark, he realized that the brothers were looking for more than just a reunion tour. Instead, they wanted to make an epic comeback and produce new music, all of which was captured on film.

It is unclear if Taylor will ever release the deleted scene. There is a chance that the scene will be featured in the DVD release of the film, though nothing official has been confirmed. Luckily, Nick has been very open about his love for Chopra on social media, so we can at least imagine what that moment was like.

Back in May, Nick shared an adorable post in honor of his anniversary with Chopra. The singer referred to Chopra as his “muse” and revealed that they originally met while watching Beauty and the Beast at a theater in Hollywood. In response to the note, Chopra complimented Nick for being an amazing person and admitted that she fell in love early in their relationship. Nick and Chopra got engaged in the summer of 2018, which many thought was a little too quick. Despite the critics, things have clearly been going great for the couple as their marriage remains stronger than ever.

Even after marrying Chopra, Nick Jonas still looks at farm listings and dreams of purchasing land one of these days. He also claims that Chopra is open to the idea, though his brothers think that it would be the wrong move.

All three brothers also spoke about their newfound courage to talk about their romances in public. Back in the day, the Jonas brothers refused to say anything about who they were dating because they feared how the media would spin it. But now that they are all married, they do not care as much about the rumors, which is probably a good thing.
