Prince William’s alleged affair with Rose Hanbury has affected his marriage to Kate Middleton — but not in the way you might suspect. Amid rumors that William cheated on Middleton with their mutual friend, inside sources claim that the pair’s relationship only got stronger in light of the scandal.

Middleton takes advantage of a hurtful situation

A source close to Middleton revealed that the cheating scandal has improved her marriage, though it was not easy reading about it in the press. In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge did not like the rumors surrounding her husband and Hanbury and found them hurtful.

She also hates the idea that her three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — will grow up and read about the alleged affair online. Although it was initially hard to hear, Middleton and William took advantage of the situation to take a closer look at their relationship.

“It forced her and William to sit back and examine their relationship, which they realized they should have been doing more often,” the source shared.

According to Elle, another source claims that Middleton had a difficult time with the rumors but is committed to moving forward. The insider admitted that Prince William and Middleton’s marriage has not been smooth sailing and that they have faced some hurdles over the years. Despite the obstacles, the couple still loves each other and are focused on raising their children in the best environment possible.

Inside Prince William’s alleged affair with Hanbury

The cheating scandal first surfaced out of reports that Middleton and Hanbury experienced a falling out. Sources claimed that Middleton wanted to phase Hanbury out of her inner circle and considered her a “rural rival.”

Insiders then claimed that it was William’s cheating ways that really drove a wedge in their friendship. Although the cheating scandal made headlines, the royal family has not commented on the rumors.

Several other sources have come forward and denied the affair. The rumors got so bad that Middleton and Hanbury reportedly considered taking legal action. But at the end of the day, both parties felt it was better to ignore the situation than feed into it.

So far, the tactic has not quelled the reports, though it sounds like Middleton and William are doing their best to move past the situation. Considering how the palace rarely addressing rumors in the media, there is little to no chance that we will ever get an official statement on the matter.

Did Prince William cheat on Kate Middleton?

At this point, it is difficult to tell what really happened between William and Hanbury. The former model lives in a lavish estate a few miles away from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and has been good friends with Middleton over the years.

Hanbury, who shares three children with her husband, David Rocksavage, has even arranged play dates with Middleton’s kids. Until we learn more, there is no telling why Hanbury and Middleton had a falling out, though there are other explanations outside of William’s alleged affair.

William and Middleton tied the knot back in 2011 and have always displayed a strong relationship in public. Prior to the Hanbury rumors, the couple had never experienced a cheating scandal, which says a lot for a member of the royal family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton attend the Trooping the Colour parade

Amid the cheating talk, William and Middleton made an appearance at the Trooping the Colour parade earlier this month. Middleton rode in a carriage to the event alongside Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Camilla.

William and his father, Prince Charles, rode their own horses to the engagement as is tradition. Middleton and William looked very happy throughout the parade and brought along all three of their adorable children. They may be facing cheating rumors, but it looks like they have already moved past it.

The Trooping the Colour event is held every year in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. Her Majesty turned 93 back in April. Most members of the royal family attended the parade, with two exceptions. Harry and Markle’s newborn, Archie, was not at the event and stayed home with a nanny. Prince Philip, who retired from royal duties a few years ago, also opted to stay away from the crowds.
