‘How to Get Away With Murder’: Asher Visited Connor in His Dreams in Deleted Scene From Series Finale
Ex-Keating 5 member Asher Millstone turned into a criminal informant to pin all the murders from Season 1 of How to Get Away With Murder on his former professor, Annalise Keating. The informant later died, but he visited friend Connor Walsh in his dreams, to look for his trophy that Wes Gibbins used to kill Sam Keating.

The law student won a coveted spot in Professor Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) law firm after winning a competition. Classmate Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King) stole the trophy he earned, and Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) ended up using it to kill Sam Keating (Thomas Verica), Annalise’s unfaithful husband.
While the other Keating 4 were present for the murder, Asher (Matt McGorry) was not as he was hooking up with his professor’s right-hand woman, Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil).
Annalise later gave the authorities information about Asher’s father, a judge, which resulted in an investigation. His father then died by suicide, causing his mother to disown him, and Asher reacted by running over Emily Sinclair, an attorney who intended to prosecute his father. The professor went out of her way to help her student by framing someone else for the murder.
Things soured between him and Annalise in the fifth season when she chose new student Gabriel Maddox (Rome Flynn) over him as one of 24 students to retry old cases for her class action suit.
Agent Pollock killed Asher Millstone
In the sixth season, Asher’s sister, Chloe (Kelen Coleman), showed up and begged her brother to come back home to help care for their mother, who became severely depressed after her husband’s death.
He obliged, and his family convinced him to help the FBI build a case against Annalise by becoming a criminal informant. Asher took the deal to blame all the murders, including the one he committed, on his former professor in exchange for the FBI not arresting his mother, who knew of his father’s crimes.
He continued hanging out with friends and proposed to Michaela for spousal immunity. However, Asher eventually confessed to being the informant and asked his friends to take the deal as well. Oliver Hampton (Conrad Ricamora) reacted by hitting him in the back of the head with a fire poker, so Asher left and attempted to record Bonnie saying anything incriminating.
She figured it out and arranged for Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) to take him back to his apartment. After Asher recorded a video for his friends, Agent Pollock (Deborah Levin) came to pick him up as he feared for his safety.
However, she murdered the criminal informant, presumably at the behest of Jorge Castillo (Esai Manuel Morales, Jr.). The FBI then threatened to charge Michaela and Connor (Jack Falahee) with his murder unless they also took the deal, to which the two agreed.
Asher visited Connor in his dreams in ‘HTGAWM’ deleted scene
The deleted scene, shared by creator Pete Nowalk, began with Connor sleeping until a noise awoke him. He went into the kitchen, where he found a bearded Asher digging around in a cabinet under the sink.
Connor then called out Asher’s name in shock. The deceased student turned around and apologized. He explained, “This was the FBI’s plan to surprise Annalise in court” and then walked over to a box containing his prized trophy that Wes used to kill Sam.
Connor asked if he faked his death, and Asher answered, “crazy, I know.” He then picked up the trophy and confidently noted that he knew his ex-girlfriend stole it.
The married graduate then questioned why his friend needed the trophy, and Asher replied, “So I can kill you,” while charging Connor. Seconds before Asher made contact, Connor woke up in sweats shouting, “don’t.”
