‘How to Get Away With Murder’: Fans Know What Happened with Hannah and Sam Keating
Last night’s episode of How to Get Away With Murder ended with a massive reveal in the last 30 seconds. Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) is finally going to get the truth about who is behind the project at the FBI built to take her down.
It’s not at all who we thought. It has something to do with Annalise’s dead husband, Sam Keating (Tom Verica), and his relationship with his sister, Hannah (Marcia Gay Harden). Fans predicted the connection between Sam and Hannah five years ago — now it seems to be true.

‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Season 6, Episode 12 dropped a massive twist
“I know who started the war against you, and it wasn’t the FBI or the governor,” Gabriel’s mother, Vivian (Marsha Stephanie Blake), told Annalise in the last 30 seconds of the episode.
Annalise is unimpressed by Vivian blaming Sam’s sister, Hannah, for starting the project against her. The attorney knows that Hannah always hated her — this isn’t news.
“Do you know why she hates you? So, you don’t know?” Vivian presses. “What happened with her and Sam?”
This comment seems to pique Annalise’s interest, though. In the scenes from next week’s episode, we see the two sit down together to talk about what happened. Then Annalise angrily throws Vivian out of her penthouse suite.
Vivian tells her something disturbing that she doesn’t want to believe. However, later on, she also tells Frank (Charlie Weber) and Bonnie (Liza Weil) that “anything is possible.”
Who is Sam’s Sister — Hannah — and what happened between the two of them?
Fans think the show confirmed what they predicted years ago happened with Hannah and Sam.
“I definitely 100% believe there was an incestuous relationship going on between the two,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “Even worse, I think they’re trying to tell us that they produced a child from this.”
In the very first season of How to Get Away With Murder, episode 12, Annalise says to Hannah, “Incest is best, put your brother to the test.”
At that time, fans thought it was “oddly specific” and not a random insult. They believe that Annalise knew about the relationship between the siblings, but didn’t realize that they had a child together. Some fans think the child was Frank.
Hannah is the mastermind behind everything, not Sam Keating, not the Mahoneys
“The Mahoneys didn’t orchestrate Annalise’s car crash, that was Hannah Keating — to drive a wedge between Annalise and Sam,” wrote another fan. “She told Sam about her role, and began her manipulation further by convincing him to manipulate Frank into believing it was his fault.”
The fan theory goes on to explain that Hannah was also responsible for Lila’s murder. She convinced Sam to task Frank with killing the young girl who Sam was sleeping with in the first season. Vivian explains that she left because Hannah was targeting her next.
“I don’t see why Hannah would do any of this if she weren’t romantically involved with Sam,” another fan added. “That’s the only thing that makes it all make sense.”
How to Get Away With Murder returns with at least some answers on April 30, 2020, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
