We’ve come to the end of the road! The series finale of How to Get Away with Murder airs this week and fans of the series are totally in their feelings. As we get closer and closer to the last hurrah, here are three of the most outrageous theories about what will happen in the final episode.

Wes Gibbins is alive and his return isn’t in a dream sequence

Since Wes popped up in the midseason finale late last year, viewers have been greatly anticipating his inevitable return. However, due to the fact that we only have one episode left and the character still hasn’t shown up yet, many believe that Wes isn’t actually alive and this is all some sort of elaborate fantasy or dream sequence.

Since this is what most people think now, it will really be wild if the character is actually alive. If he is alive, how did he fake his death? What’s he been doing all of this time? There are literally so many questions as to what’s been going on. So at this point, it would be a surprise if Wes is indeed alive and if it is all a dream.

Could he be back to clear his name since it has been dragged through the mud during the trial? Is he back to help Annalise? Anything is possible at this point.

Frank Delfino gets shot…unless it is Bonnie Winterbottom

It is not expected that every key member on the cast will get a happy ending. A lot of people are going to get pretty much the exact opposite of that. Most fans are convinced that by the end of the series finale, either Frank Delfino or Bonnie Winterbottom will be killed.

Frank is the most obvious choice as he is hinted as the one who killed Hannah Keating and he’s committed so many crimes during the series there could be lot of people who want him dead. Both Annalise, Laurel, and Bonnie seem to be grief-stricken by what happens outside the courthouse if it is, in fact, the shooting.

But Frank may be too easy of a choice, and this is where the Bonnie theory comes in. Frank is shown at someone’s grave in the episode preview. The easy choice is to think he is visiting the grave of his newfound father, Sam Keating. But is this Bonnie? Something else that makes things even more interesting is that apparently a glitched promo surfaced which [SPOILER ALERT] seems to feature Bonnie in a casket instead of Annalise. This was discussed in a YouTube live video by Todd Foolery, who extensively covers the show.

Now, we don’t want to make too many assumptions about this because it could mean many things. But at the very list, it is worth thinking about the fact that Bonnie may be the deceased.

Annalise Keating’s funeral is an extreme flash-forward

Perhaps the most outrageous theory about the season finale is that Annalise’s funeral is not a vision or a set-up. Many are floating around the idea that this is actually Annalise’s funeral is very real but it is not set in the present.

A lot of people think that this could be a flash-forward scene and some are even taking it as far as saying that the person we think is Wes that shows up to the funeral is actually is son Christopher, all grown up.

We don’t want to rule out everything but this one seems pretty far-fetched. But still, anything can happen. However, the fact that the funeral scene is not in a traditional darker tint like other flash-forwards in the series means that this scene is likely not in the future.

The How to Get Away with Murder finale airs this Thursday on ABC.
