How to Obtain the ‘Elden Ring’ Age of Stars Ending and Lord of the Frenzied Flame Ending
On the FromSoftware video game Elden Ring release date, players on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One jumped into the story of the 2022 game. And they quickly found that there were more than a few Elden Ring endings. While the Elden Lord ending has at least four different variations, Elden Ring achievements list the Age of Stars ending and Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending as unique. Here’s how to obtain the two different Elden Ring story paths.
How to obtain the ‘Elden Ring’ Age of Stars ending
While games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have slightly different endings depending on major choices, Elden Ring requires players to take on parts or complete entire sidequests that are easy to miss. The Elden Ring Age of Stars ending involves the Ranni the Witch questline.
Find Caria Manor after reaching Liurnia. Players can access the Three Sisters area when they defeat Royal Knight Loretta, and in the middle of the three towers is Ranni’s Rise. She asks them to find the treasure of Nokron, Eternal City.
After finding the hole in Limgrave, venture through until you acquire the Fingerslayer Blade, which you can give to Ranni. She then offers players access to Renna’s Rise, the northernmost tower in the Three Sister’s area. And the teleport gate takes players to the Ansel River, where players find a doll that looks like Ranni. And it says that it is Ranni and assassins lurk nearby. Players must navigate further for the Elden Ring Age of Stars ending.
“After that, advance through the river until you reach Nokstella. Here, stick to the ground-level path along the river until you find an elevator. Take that and advance through the tunnel in front of you,” GameSpot advises.
Defeat the invader, obtain a key from Ranni and continue to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, where players find a locked chest behind Rennala. The Dark Moon Ring waits inside. At the Lake of Rot, players should head to the massive building.
“Once inside, follow the river to a waterfall, where you can get inside a coffin,” GameSpot continued. This takes players to the last steps of The Elden Ring Age of Stars ending seen at the end of this article.
How to obtain the ‘Elden Ring’ Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending
Unlike some story paths, the Elden Ring Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending locks you out of other endings. Beneath Leyndell, Capital City is the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. Luckily, players can still access this ending even after the city becomes ash.
Players must defeat Mohg, the Omen, in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds.
This reveals a secret tunnel under the altar in the boss area. Continue to the bottom to find a Site of Grace and a door. Remove all armor and open the door.
Inside the Three Fingers will brand players. When you interact with Marika at the end of the game, the only option will be the Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending.
Finishing each path requires defeating Radagon of the Golden Order
To finish the Elden Ring Age of Stars ending, players must Astel, Naturalborn of the Void boss. A path at the back of the arena leads to another area.
“If you haven’t picked up the Dark Moon Ring, this passage will be blocked,” GameSpot notes. “Through here, you will find yourself at the Moonlight Altar, head south to the Cathedral past the Glintstone Dragon. There will be a path down inside the Cathedral, which leads to Ranni.”
She gifts the Moonlight Greatsword, and then players must face the Elden Ring final boss, Radagon of the Golden Order. Defeating the beast places players before the Fractured Marika.
To obtain the Elden Ring Age of Stars ending and achievement, use the blue summon sign on the ground to summon Ranni. In the story path for the Elden Ring Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending, players will have no choice but to advance that ending.
