How to Purchase BTS’ 2021 Winter Package
In 2020, BTS began releasing a Winter Package as a replacement for their typical Summer Package. Recently, BTS announced the second edition of their Winter Package will be released in 2021. The septet has released multiple teasers for the beloved bundle of goodies, and ARMY can pre-order the 2021 Winter Package on Weverse Shop.
What is BTS’ Winter Package?
In 2014, BTS released their first Summer Package as a way to celebrate their debut anniversary with fans. The K-pop group continued releasing a new edition of the Summer Package through 2019.
BTS released the first Winter Package in 2020. Photoshoots and filming for the 2020 Winter Package took place in Helsinki, Finland. The collection included a photobook, vlog, and behind-the-scenes DVD.
Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook filmed the new Winter Package in Gangwon-do in South Korea. The band has released multiple teasers for the collection.
How to buy BTS’ 2021 Winter Package
On Jan. 26, BTS released a teaser that opened with the members wearing all black and individually lighting matches. Their song “Life Goes On” from their 2020 album BE begins to play in the background, and the members wear heavy winter outfits as they walk along the slopes.
In the final scenes, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook wear bright sweaters and cuddle together in a cabin. A second teaser was released on Feb. 1 with BTS’ song “Telepathy” playing in the background. The second teaser gives fans a better idea of what to expect from the DVD content.
ARMY can purchase BTS’ Winter Package on Weverse Shop. On the U.S. version of Weverse Shop, the 2021 Winter Package is available to pre-order for $52. It will be shipped to fans beginning on April 7.
BTS’ 2021 Winter Package includes a photobook, DVD, photo set, photo box, mini-poster box, 6-cut film photo, photocard, and photo sticker. If the Winter Package is sold out on the U.S. Weverse Shop, fans can also pre-order it on the Global Weverse Shop. However, shipping costs and times may differ.
BTS will appear on ‘MTV Unplugged’
On Feb. 23, the Korean band will take part in a special episode of MTV Unplugged called “MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS.” MTV unplugged typically features acoustic performances, and BTS will bring their own unique take to the franchise with their planned performance.
According to a press release, the band’s MTV Unplugged appearance will feature “never-before-seen versions of the group’s most career-defining hits and songs from their latest album BE (Essential Edition), in intimate settings.”
BTS released their album BE (Deluxe Edition) on Nov. 20, 2020. The band will release BE (Essential Edition) on Feb. 19, just a few days before their MTV Unplugged performance.
BE (Essential Edition) includes the same eight tracks as BE (Deluxe Edition): “Life Goes On,” “Fly To My Room,” “Blue & Grey,” “Skit,” “Telepathy,” “Dis-ease,” “Stay,” and “Dynamite.” However, BE (Essential Edition) will have new features that show BTS’ appreciation for ARMY.
