The 2020 awards season kicks off on January 5 with the Golden Globe Awards. Stars of television and film will gather at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills to see who takes home prizes in dozens of categories. But the most-anticipated moments of the night will be when the winners in the Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy categories are announced.

Want to get up to speed on the movies that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has singled out as the best of the year? Here’s how to watch the 10 films that have been nominated in the two main categories.

Five films are nominated in the best drama category. While most are available to steam, you’ll have to head to the theater to watch one of the nominated films.

Three of this year’s nominees for best drama are streaming on Netflix. The Two Popes, The Irishman, and Marriage Story are all Netflix originals. (Netflix has racked up an impressive 34 Golden Globe nominations overall heading into the 2020 ceremony.)

Todd Phillips’ mega-hit Joker also scored a nomination. If you didn’t catch it in the theater, the gritty comic book movie is available to purchase on Amazon and other streaming platforms. Or, save a few bucks and wait until it’s available to rent on January 7.

The acclaimed World War I drama 1917 (directed by Sam Mendes) just hit U.S. theaters on Christmas Day. It won’t be on DVD or streaming for a while, so you’ll have to head to your local multiplex to see it.

Netflix isn’t quite as dominant in the musical or comedy category as it is in drama. However, the streaming service did score a nomination for the Eddie Murphy flick Dolemite Is My Name. The biopic stars the comedian as legendary blaxploitation star Rudy Ray Moore.

The Elton John biopic Rocketman also earned a nomination. The movie, which stars Taron Egerton as the “Candle in the Wind” singer, is available to rent or purchase on Amazon, Google Play, YouTube, and other services. Or, you can rent the DVD at Redbox.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is also available on DVD at Redbox kiosks, as well as for rent or purchase on Amazon, YouTube, iTunes, and Google Play.

Thor: Ragnarok’s Taika Waititi directed Jojo Rabbit. It’s a black comedy about a young German boy during World War II whose imaginary best friend is Adolf Hitler. It’s still in theaters.

Rian Johnson’s comic murder mystery Knives Out is the fifth nominee in this category. It’s also still in theaters.
