Ice-T Calls Lenny Kravitz’s Decision to Remain Celibate ‘Weirdo S**t’
Lenny Kravitz has been considered an extremely eligible bachelor for years. The singer and songwriter has had several high-profile relationships, including a well-publicized marriage. He isn’t currently dating anyone, and he’s not looking for sex, either. Kravitz recently discussed his decision to remain celibate, and while Kravitz is fine with his choice, Ice-T seems confused by it. He sounded off about it on Twitter, slamming Kravitz in the process.
Lenny Kravitz discusses his decision to remain celibate
Lenny Kravitz isn’t into hookup culture. The famed singer recently sat down for a chat with The Guardian and revealed that he has no interest in one-night stands or having an intimate relationship until he finds the right woman. He previously discussed his decision to remain celibate. Now, he has doubled down on those thoughts in his recent interview.
Kravitz said his decision to remain celibate is a “spiritual thing” and that he tries to remain responsible and in control of his desires. He said he made the decision after spending time following his divorce from Lisa Bonet being “that guy.” Kravitz was married to Bonet from 1987 until 1993. Following the end of his marriage, Kravitz dated Adriana Lima and Nicole Kidman. He has not had a serious relationship in nearly a decade and is at peace with that. Kravitz even mused that he’d probably struggle to factor another person into his life after spending so much time focusing on himself. While fans assume that Kravitz’s statements mean he hasn’t had sex in nearly a decade, he never actually confirmed that.
Ice-T slammed Kravitz for his decision
While Lenny Kravitz seems happy and at peace with his decision to forgo a sexual relationship for right now, not everyone understands his personal journey. Ice-T sounded off on X (formerly Twitter) about Kravitz’s decision. In a now infamous tweet, Ice-T called Kravitz’s personal decision “weirdo s***.”
That’s only some of what he had to say on the topic, though. When fans called the actor out on his thoughtless tweet, he doubled down, insisting that men shouldn’t voluntarily go nine years without sex. He insists that any man who can go so long without an intimate relationship is “following the wrong page.” Several followers pointed out that Ice-T has no reason to be so troubled by Kravitz’s decision and that he is free to make his own.
Kravitz has yet to reply to Ice-T’s thoughts on his decision.
