Britney Spears has been making headlines recently since her conservatorship has become a topic of conversation once again. Now, there is a movement to release Spears from her father’s control called #freebritney. During all of this turmoil, many people have wondered about her relationship with her boyfriend Sam Asghari and what he has been doing to help the singer.

After a number of mental breakdowns, Spears was put under a conservatorship in 2008. For many people, Spears’ is the first conservatorship they’ve heard of. The conservatorship gives an appointed individual decision-making ability over another person. For Spears, this means that her dad Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet could control her finances, estate, and career decisions. Spears’ conservatorship was supposed to be over by now but an extension was ordered on April 20.
Lately, the topic has come up again as fans have been wondering if Spears is leaving secret messages in her TikTok videos to reveal that she needs help.
Is Sam helping?
Spears met Asghari in 2016 when he starred in her “Slumber Party” music video. Since then, the two have been a happy couple and Asghari has reportedly been very protective over Spears.
“He’s always been a total rock for Britney throughout any of the ups and downs she’s gone through since they’ve been dating,” a source told HollywoodLife. “He is super protective of her and is always there for her because he knows the real Britney. He thinks social media is not a place for others to weigh in on the lives of celebrities because people never really know somebody just based on their persona. At the end of the day, his priority is the relationship he has with Britney and her happiness, plain and simple.”
Spears has been able to be her real self with Asghari.
“Sam really loves Britney because he knows the real her,” the source continued. “He has seen her happy, he has seen her sad. He has seen her at her best and he wants to be there for her the entire way. Whatever people want to say about her behind her back is their own problem. Sam wants to lift her up only and day in and day out they always talk and he is very proud of her. He will always be by her side and have her best interests at hand.”
The two have been spending a lot of time together in quarantine, working out and finding healthy ways to pass the time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“They’ve been enjoying life at her place,” another source told the outlet. They have been “laying by the pool, going for hikes, cooking healthy meals, watching movies, that kind of thing. Britney is head over heels in love with Sam, he’s been such a rock for her. You would never know that he’s so much younger than she is because he’s so mature and grounded. She would love to marry him one day and have a baby with him.”
Many fans have speculated whether the conservatorship has blocked Spears from marrying Asghari.
