Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t love too many things about royal life. The two have said in a number of interviews that their time in the royal family as a couple quickly became one of the worst experiences of their lives, and they eventually stepped down altogether in 2020.

Still, there were moments of joy for the pair while doing work on behalf of the royal family, and the two have even tried to recreate some of that in recent months.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘enjoyed’ 1 aspect of royal work ‘most’

Even before meeting, Harry and Meghan both paid close attention to certain charities that they loved. And when they wed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focused even more on philanthropic work on behalf of the royal family. An insider told GB News that Harry and Meghan loved visiting new countries and raising awareness, and that it was the one aspect of royal life they “enjoyed most.”

Since leaving the royal family, Harry and Meghan have not traveled much in that sense, but this year, they have taken tours of two countries to highlight their charitable work and bring awareness to issues in different parts of the world.

“Both Meghan and Harry are keen to do more of these tours as that’s what they love doing and what they enjoyed most about royal life,” the source said. However, the two did face some backlash for their recent Colombia trip as well as their Nigeria trip back in May, though that doesn’t mean they won’t continue taking these overseas trips.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are working to grow their reputation

The tours of these two countries very closely resembled royal tours, but Harry and Meghan seemingly preferred it that way given that they loved the opportunities to travel while doing work for the royal family. Still, the two can also use these royal tours as a means of improving their own reputations with the public.

Harry and Meghan have worked hard to rebuild themselves in the public eye after facing harsh criticism for opening up about difficulties behind closed doors within the royal family. The tours give the two a chance to show themselves in the media on their own terms and in a generally positive light, which could help them establish a better relationship with the public. Plus, with Meghan’s business ventures hindering extensively on her popularity, it’s necessary that they improve the way people view them in order to be successful in their endeavors.
