Is Drake Dating the Mother of His Child After Sharing Pictures of Their Family?

Ever since it was revealed that rapper Drake had a secret child, people wanted to know more about his relationship with his son’s mom, Sophie Brussaux. Unfortunately for fans, Drake has been very secretive about everything surrounding his son. Up until early this morning, the public had yet to even see a picture of the now two-year-old child. But now, Drake has posted a picture to his Instagram, revealing his child to the world. But in the slide of pictures, he also included Brussaux. So, what does reveal about their relationship?

Drake’s rocky relationship with Sophie

Drake has kept his cards to his chest when it came to Brussaux, but in an interview with LeBron James on the HBO show, The Shop, he opened up a bit about the relationship.

“[I was] more scared to tell my mom because my mom has had real belief and real relationships with women in my life, like, over the course of my years,” Drake said. “I’m sure she would expect or be elated if I were to have gotten one of those women pregnant… So it was tough for me to tell her that it’s somebody that she’s never met.”

And he even went into how rocky the relationship had been at times.

“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who… you know, we’ve had our moments, right?” he added. “And I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to, like, not love his mother… I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible, and now I’m just really excited to be a great father. I have a son, he’s a beautiful boy.”

Drake disses his baby mama

Earlier this month, it was unclear whether Drake and Brussaux were on good terms as his newly released track, “When to Say When,” didn’t necessarily paint her in the best light. In the song, he raps “baby mama fluke, but I love her for who she is.”

Fans immediately bashed the rapper for talking about the mother of his child that way.

“Nah Drake really called his BM a fluke,” one person tweeted.

“Imagine waking up and telling the world how trash you were at choosing who you procreated with lmfaoooo,” another person said.

Drake posts a picture of his family

Though the line in his song was seen as disrespectful, being separated from his family lately has him singing a different tune.

“Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release,” he captioned a set of photos of him and his son Adonis, his parents, and Brussaux. “Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you.”

But it was the last few lines that had fans wondering what was going on between him and Brussaux.

“I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on.”

While Drake has not commented on the status of their relationship, it seems that he is at least finally on good terms with the mother of his child.
