The promo trailer for Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 13, “Put the Squeeze on Me,” has fans worried about Meredith’s departure from Seattle. In the March 17 episode, she confided to Nick that she doesn’t know if she can go back to Chief of General Surgery after her success with Parkinson’s Disease. Then the preview made Meredith’s departure from Grey Sloan more real.
“On behalf of the clinic’s leadership, join us here in a permanent position,” Dr. David Hamilton (Peter Gallagher) makes a proposal to Meredith.
Nick pleads his case for her to remain in Minnesota in the next scene because he loves their chemistry.
“I think what we have here is pretty great,” Nick attempts to persuade Dr. Grey to stay in Minnesota. “I’m in this, Meredith.”

Scott Speedman doesn’t think Meredith will leave Seattle
Scott Speedman explained that Nick “allows” Meredith to escape from her daily life in Seattle, Washington, in a recent interview. In Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 12, he took her to a remote cabin and truly let her “escape” all of her worries. However, he doesn’t feel like she could move there permanently.
“And, I think for the first time in a while, she feels like she can trust somebody who’s her equal match,” Speedman told Insider.
Although he couldn’t give any Grey’s Anatomy spoilers, Speedman believed that Meredith wouldn’t move her kids away from Seattle.
“I think both of them have to take a look in the mirror and think about what they want and where they’re going to be together or not,” he continued. “So I think that’ll play into the last part of the season.”
