Is Jennifer Garner Pregnant? ‘Alias’ Star Shuts Down Baby Rumors After Her Instagram Post Confuses Fans
Jennifer Garner is shutting down the baby rumors — again.
In September, the Alias star faced pregnancy speculation after sharing a photo of herself wearing loose-fitting overalls. Now, another Instagram post has some fans wondering if the 48-year-old actor might be expecting. But after the cute Halloween-themed snap sent fans into frenzy, Garner stepped in to clarify that she definitely was not having a fourth child.
Jennifer Garner’s jack-o-lantern pic sparks confusion
The latest round of baby rumors began on Oct. 25, when Garner shared a photo of herself sitting crosslegged while cradling a jack-o-lantern in her lap.
“When you and your jack-o’-lantern share a vibe,” she captioned the image.
Garner is holding a large carved pumpkin with a smaller carved pumpkin inside of it. A closer look makes it clear the small pumpkin is supposed to be inside a house and that Garner’s Halloween creation is a reference to being stuck inside due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But not everyone got what Garner was going for. Several commenters assumed the image was a not-so-subtle hint that she was pregnant.
Jennifer Garner says she’s ‘not having more babies’
Soon after she shared the photo, Garner’s post was flooded with comments from confused fans who wanted to know if baby no. 4 was on the way. (Garner has three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.)
“Wait, does that mean you’re pregnant??” one person asked.
“I thought this was a pregnancy announcement for a hot second,” another wrote.
Garner quickly set the record straight.
“STILL NOT HAVING MORE BABIES,” she replied. “Good grief, I didn’t even see it, I just saw matching smiles.”
Garner’s denial comes weeks after she told fans that she definitely wasn’t having more kids.
In a comment on the Sept. 10 Instagram post, Garner wrote that she was “48, have three healthy kids, and am not — and never will be – pregnant.”
“[W]e can lay that pupper to rest. Have [I] gained the COVID-19? Possibly. But that is another story,” she added.

Talk of a possible pregnancy for Garner comes shortly after her split with boyfriend John Miller. Miller, an entrepreneur, and Garner began dating in 2018 after her divorce from Affleck. But the couple called it quits earlier in 2020, according to Entertainment Tonight, with sources saying they had drifted apart.
Soon after news of her breakup with Miller became public, Garner was spotted spending time at the beach in Malibu with Bradley Cooper, along with his 3-year-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk. But an insider told Us Weekly the two — who worked together on Alias — are just friends.
