Is Kris Jenner Behind the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Divorce Rumors?

It has long been a popular saying in pop culture that “the devil works hard but Kris Jenner works harder.” Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian family, has always found a way to turn every situation into a gain for the family. So, it’s only natural that fans would begin to wonder if she’s also behind the recent rumors that Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are getting a divorce.

Way back in 2007, no one really knew much about the Kardshians. The family’s biggest claim to fame was Robert Kardashian’s role in the O.J. Simpson trial, but they were definitely nowhere near being household names.

However, that year Kris Jenner premiered Keeping Up With the Kardashians where she was able to turn Kim’s sex tape scandal into ratings. Since then, the Kardashians have documented an insane amount of drama, including multiple divorces, cheating scandals, feuds, and fights. Because the show was able to produce over a decade of dramatic situations, fans have often wondered how much of the drama in that family is real and how much of it is just for ratings.

What is going on with Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West?

Several news outlets have been reporting that things are rocky between Kim and Kanye.

“Kim and Kanye are in counseling and exploring their options,” a source recently told People. “They have been working on their marriage for a long time, but no decision has been made.”

The two have been largely living separately, with Kim in California and Kanye in Wyoming.

“He knows that she’s done,” a source told the outlet of the rapper. “She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future.”

“He’s OK,” the source continued. “He’s sad, but OK. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon.”

All the while, Jenner and the family have been supportive of this drama.

“Kris Jenner and Kim’s sisters are being as supportive as possible,” another source said. “They’ve seen Kim struggle over the last year and ultimately just want both her and Kanye to be happy, however that may look.”

Is Kris Jenner behind it all?

Earlier this year, the Kardashians and Jenner announced that this would be the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But despite that, the family continues to have dramatic situation after dramatic situation and fans are started to think that things are sounding suspicious.

“She’s always done… Their culture destroying ‘reality’ show was canceled… Alas, she needs attention. Her 15 minutes of shame is gone. So she’s gotta try something,” one person tweeted of Kim.

Some fans even directly attributed the rumors to Jenner.

“Headlines. All about headlines. When you get no press… you have to [create] headlines… Kris is totally behind it,” one person wrote. “Gotta keep the brand alive.”

Whether Jenner is behind the rumors or not, they managed to keep the family trending during one of the most politically newsworthy days of the year while extremists and protestors attacked the U.S. Capitol.

So, someone should really give Jenner some kind of award.
