Is Prince William the Reason Rose Hanbury is No Longer Wearing Her Wedding Ring?
Royal affairs are nothing new. Just ask Prince Charles. His supposed infidelity to Princess Diana has been a topic of discussion for decades. But you would think that someone who watched how affairs destroyed his family would stay away from anything that could be misconstrued as an inappropriate relationship.
Unfortunately, Prince William is following in the footsteps of his father when it comes to his marriage. He has recently been accused of having an affair with his wife’s friend, Rose Hanbury.
Rumors of an affair
The rumors started when reports came out that William’s wife, Kate Middleton and Hanbury had had a feud.
“It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out,” a source told The Sun. “They used to be close but that is not the case anymore. William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends.”
After the feud, Middleton reportedly wanted William to stop hanging out with Hanbury and her husband, David Rocksavage, the Marquess of Cholmondeley.
“But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status,” the source continued.
Outlets began speculating that the affair occurred while Middleton was pregnant with the couple’s youngest son, Louis.
“The rumors started around Christmas that William had become just a bit too close to Rose and was infatuated with her,” a source told New Idea. “She is a naturally flirtatious and beautiful woman and William is only human.”
The source did, however, admit that the rumors were not 100% accurate.
“The rumors are untrue but they got back to Kate and she hit the roof. It’s a very small world in the aristocratic country set and social media amplifies everything.”
“Even though they are not true, Kate clearly feels threatened. It’s very sad because they were close friends and Rose’s children played with Kate’s George and Charlotte.”
Is there trouble in Hanbury’s marriage?
The rumors surrounding William and Hanbury’s relationship had all but subsided until she attended President Donald Trump’s state dinner in London.
Her attendance in itself was not what raised eyebrows, but the fact that she showed up without her wedding ring. Which led people to wonder if there was trouble in her marriage.
But William and Middleton are doing their best to keep their heads high and ignore everything going on with Hanbury.
“Kate and William generally ignore these sorts of nasty rumors,” a royal source once told HollywoodLife.com, “But this one has really rocked them, that’s why lawyers are involved. The rumor is so ugly and so false, they couldn’t just ignore it.”
During the dinner, Hanbury was seated on the opposite side of the room from Middleton. She was, however, assigned a seat at William’s table but far away from the prince.
