Rob Zombie is married to Sheri Moon
Rob Zombie has been married to actor, model, and dancer Sheri Moon since 2002. The two met at a club in New Haven, Connecticut called Todd’s Place when Zombie was the lead singer for the heavy metal band White Zombie. In an interview with The New York Post, Sheri Moon reveals that she was originally standoffish toward her future husband.
“I was kinda mean to you the first night we met, right?” she asks. Rob replied with a quiet, whispered, “Yes.”
Despite their love for all things gore and horror, the two reveal that they actually went on rather conventional dates, like dinners on the town and long, romantic walks on the Santa Monica pier. The two dated for nearly a decade before planning a wedding. Rob and Sheri Moon originally intended to be married on Nov. 9, but the couple ultimately decided to elope. They were married on Halloween.
“It sounds like we’re trying to be all spooky and weird, but that really wasn’t the plan,” said Rob.
Do Rob and Sheri Moon have kids?
Currently, Rob and Sheri Moon Zombie do not have kids. In an interview with Howard Stern in 2005, Rob revealed that he doesn’t really like kids and isn’t sure what he would do if Sheri Moon ever became pregnant.
In 2013, several bloggers accused Rob Zombie of hating children after Sheri Moon made complaints about the noise coming from a skating park near their Woodbury home. Rob responded with the following statement on his official Facebook page:
“It seems nuts to even have to address this but I guess I will. Some really crazy articles have popped up making claims about ‘hating skaters’ and ‘hating children.’ None of this is true and it makes me sick that someone would print such lies.
There is a simple matter going on in which we are trying to find a solution that will make EVERYBODY happy. Unfortunately someone decided to turn it into a whole ugly event. What a bummer.”
Rob and Sheri Moon Zombie are creative partners
Sheri Moon and Rob Zombie have been creative partners since Sheri Moon started going on tour with White Zombie in the late ’90s. When White Zombie disbanded and Rob Zombie began his solo music career, Sheri Moon worked to choreograph dance routines and created costumes for the tour. She has also appeared in 11 of Rob’s solo music videos, sometimes providing backup vocals.
Sheri Moon has also starred in all of Rob Zombie’s movies to date, beginning with her role as Baby Firefly in House of 1000 Corpses. In an interview, Rob reveals that he always lets Sheri Moon read his scripts before anyone else.
“We love working together,” said Rob in an interview with MiLK, “In a crazy business where you can’t really trust anybody, I always have one person I can trust and whose opinion I value.”
