Is That Actually Zendaya Singing in ‘The Greatest Showman’?
From now on, The Greatest Showman will have a new home, as the musical featuring Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman joins the Disney+ streaming library. Turns out, the actors behind this movie actually sang on the original soundtrack. That includes Zendaya, who sang for a number of other television shows and movies she’s worked on.
‘The Greatest Showman’ joins the Disney+ streaming library this August
Being different is a good thing. Although 21st Century Fox produced the movie musical, The Greatest Showman, the film joins Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+ this August. This comes just a few weeks after the addition of Broadway’s award-winning production of Hamilton.
Former Disney Channel star, Zendaya, appears as one of the main characters, trapeze artist Anne Wheeler. She eventually falls in love with Zac Efron’s character, Phillip Carlyle, and even though Carlyle’s parents disapprove of their relationship, they’re determined to defy the odds to be together.
Hugh Jackman portrays the main character of this movie, P. T. Barnum. This character opens a circus full of “human oddities” and eventually gets wrapped up in his quest for fame and recognition. Don’t worry, though, it’s an uplifting production, filled with dance numbers and songs performed by the actors themselves.

Aside from her acrobatics and stunts with Zac Efron, Zendaya’s character sings a number of songs in the film. That is, in fact, Zendaya actually singing alongside Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman on The Greatest Showman’s soundtrack.
She appears on the song “Rewrite the Stars,” as well as group numbers like “The Greatest Show” and “Come Alive.” This wouldn’t be the last time Zendaya sang for a project. During 2018, the actress performed for the HBO original drama series, Euphoria.
The last song for season 1, “All For Us,” featured Zendaya and is available for streaming on Spotify. (The music of this series even earned an Emmy nomination.)

She was the main character in the series K.C Undercover, where she acted as a spy. Zendaya also danced and acted for the original movie, Zapped, which is available for streaming on Disney’s subscription service.
