Henry Cavill is best known for playing the role of Superman in the 2013 movie Man of Steel. Fans of the handsome actor were excited to see him in the Netflix series The Witcher. This new series has been so well received that critics have compared it to Game of Thrones.
Of course, the British actor’s skills in front of the camera are only a part of what people find fascinating. There’s also a lot of interest in his private life: is he single? Does he have a girlfriend?

Henry Cavill’s flourishing career
Cavill worked steadily as an actor since 2001 when he was only 18 years old. In 2007 he landed a role in the Showtime drama The Tudors, which crossed him over into the world of the famous.
A few years after the show ended in 2010 he took on the part of Superman, and the movie made him a household name. Cavill has starred in several action films since then, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
Netflix released The Witcher in late December of 2019, and he will appear as Sherlock Holmes in the movie Enola Holmes, slated to be released in 2020.
Clearly Cavill’s professional life is going well. Is his personal life equally happy? Cavill is not married, so he’s free to enjoy the single life.
Henry Cavill’s dating life is wild
It’s probably not surprising to hear that Cavill has no problems finding a date. Cavill dated an English show jumping rider named Ellen Whitaker for years. The two were even engaged for a while in 2011, before quietly going their separate ways.
Some of his choices have raised a few eyebrows. In 2016 he went out with actress Tara King. The unexpected thing about their relationship was that King was 19 years old at the time, 13 years younger than Cavill. It didn’t seem quite right for a 32-year-old man to date a woman who wasn’t old enough to buy alcohol.
Before that he dated Marisa Gonzalo, who was 10 years his junior. That wasn’t the strangest thing about their relationship, however. While Cavill is an animal rights activist, Gonzalo is a hunter who posts pictures of herself with the animals she’s killed. In the end, Cavill found that she was leaking information about their relationship to the press, and he broke up with her.
It seems as though he prefers younger women. He once said in an interview with Playboy that his lifestyle makes it hard to be in a relationship. He couldn’t see himself making it go with someone who had her own life to live.
He said: “It’s a tough lifestyle…So unless I meet someone who’s very, very young who haven’t yet started trying a career…”
Who is Henry Cavill dating now?
For the past few years, Cavill has been with Lucy Cork, a stunt woman who he’s worked with in the past. The two have been seeing each other since 2017, although they did break up for a little while in 2018.
Once Cavill posted an emotional tribute to her on his Instagram page. Maybe Cavill is ready to settle down, and Cork is the right partner for him. Time will tell, and in the meantime, we can all enjoy looking at this undeniably gorgeous couple.
