Is Tyler Cameron Coming Back to TV? The ‘Bachelorette’ Alum Tweeted ‘Be Back Soon’
After Tyler Cameron appeared as a contestant on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, he’s still making headlines. Dating models and being generally hunky will do that for you. But recently, the contractor/almost-dance-minor hinted he’s coming back to grace our television screens. What’s he up to? A Bachelor podcast may have solved the mystery.
Tyler Cameron tweets a hint that he’s returning to television after his appearance on ‘The Bachelorette’
Earlier this week, Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise alum Dylan Barbour tweeted about an episode of Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor.
“They should have put me Mike and Tyler in a van to spy on these girls in order to report back to Pete,” he wrote, a reference to an episode from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette.
One fan retweeted Barbour’s message, and added her own: “literally anything to see @TylerJCameron3 on tv again.”
“Be back soon with something different,” Cameron replied. The response implied incredible news for people everywhere who are attracted to men: Cameron will be back on our television screens in the near future.
“Paradise?” one follower wondered in their reply. Another advised, “please no Bach stuff.”
Some fans thought that Tyler Cameron’s relationship with Stassie Karanikolaou might get him on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’
Recently, Cameron has been on his dating game. After dating supermodel Gigi Hadid, fans spotted him with influencer and famed bestie of Kylie Jenner, Stassie Karanikolaou.
“They’re both young and hanging out together, it’s nothing serious,” a source told People. Some fans of the Kardashians thought Cameron could end up on the family’s reality TV show.
However, People recently reported that the fling has ended. Cameron and Karanikolaou aren’t “hanging out” anymore, according to insiders. The source said: “Their fling ran its course and fizzled out. There was no anger or hard feelings … There just wasn’t a future there.”
So, it doesn’t seem likely that the model will end up on KUWTK any time soon.
Tyler Cameron isn’t the new Bachelor, but he is coming back to reality television after Hannah Brown
It seems Cameron will be moving in a slightly different direction. Hollywood Life published a recent story in which a source revealed Cameron is working on a project for television.
“Tyler is really busy filming a new show and is making a new life for himself post-Hannah and The Bachelorette franchise,” the source said. But the series won’t have anything to do with Cameron’s romantic life.
“Tyler’s new show will be something totally different,” they revealed. “It will have nothing to do with dating and really takes Tyler back to his roots. He’s excited for the future.”
Podcast hosts reveal Cameron’s new TV show on their Instagram page
The Betchelor, a podcast hosted by Betches’ Kay Brown and former Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise contestant Derek Peth, posted a screenshot of Cameron’s tweet on their Instagram page.
“Omg is our favorite boyfriend coming back to TV?” the caption read, along with a skull emoji.
The account updated the post with a comment: “UPDATE! Check our insta story for the answer.”
In the Instagram Story, Brown tells the camera that her colleague Dylan Hafer solved the mystery. (Hafer is an assistant editor at Betches.)
“So my coworker Dylan knows exactly what Tyler’s doing on TV,” Brown says. “He’s doing a show called Barkitecture, and it is building extravagant houses for people’s dogs.” Brown ends the post laughing.
It almost sounds like a joke, but the show Barkitecture is indeed in development, according to Entertainment Weekly. And there are already rumors floating around message boards that Cameron is attached.
Upon further inspection, it does check out.
Cameron is a contractor (the modeling is just a side gig, or vice versa), and he is a dog dad himself. The Hollywood Life reported that “Tyler has a rescue dog.” His adopted puppy is named Harley, “who he said he loves hanging out with in his spare time.” Considering Cameron’s passion for building things and his love of dogs, this show seems like a perfect combination for the former Bachelorette heartthrob.
‘Barkitecture’ is a show made for the age of smartphones
Entertainment Weekly described the upcoming reality show as such: “For dog lovers, Quibi will offer this series in which dog owners commission luxurious, extravagant doghouses for their beloved pets.”
The new show is part of a brand new streaming service created by Jeffrey Katzenberg called Quibi. Katzenberg is attempting to “reinvent the very medium” of television. His platform will offer “‘quick bites’ of content — episodes or installments running 10 minutes or less.” Now that almost everybody has a smartphone in their pocket, Quibi is being branded as “quick entertainment for viewers on the go.”
No matter what Cameron is doing on our screens, we’re not mad (even if only in ten-minute installments). But we never would have guessed that for Cameron’s next television project, he’d be building dog mansions. Reality TV continues to thrive!
