Jada Pinkett Smith Likes Willow Smith’s Romantic Partners Better Than Jaden Smith’s
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have ultra-lax parenting rules for their kids, Willow and Jaden Smith. And it seems the parents have no qualms about their kids dating.
Jada once mentioned she seems to like Willow’s choice of romantic partner better than Jaden’s, too. Here’s what she said.

Jada’s talked about her kids having relationships via her show, Red Table Talk. And it seems she’s much more approving of who Willow chooses over who Jaden chooses to get romantically involved with.
Back in 2018, W Magazine reports Jada said everyone her 17-year-old daughter brings home has “been spectacular, in all honesty.” As for Jaden, Jada noted his choices have left her “concerned” — but she knows she has to allow him to make his own choices no matter where they lead him.
“Your kids aren’t always going to date people that you love, but I’ve learned that you really have to just be there and support because that can create a conflict that you can’t get around,” Jada noted.
At the time, Jaden was dating Odessa Adlon. But by 2019, it seems the romance was off, as Jaden was spotted kissing another woman, Us Weekly notes.
Willow seems to be currently dating musician Tyler Cole
Given what Jada’s said in the past, we’re willing to bet she approves of Willow’s rumored current boyfriend, Tyler Cole. Cole and Willow have worked together on creative projects, and they both share a deep love of music. They’ve managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, too, though Cole did appear in an episode of Red Table Talk. And his appearance is fueling more romance rumors than ever before.
“Tyler is a talented musician, filmmaker, actor and a close family friend,” Jada explained on Red Table Talk, according to E! News. “And he’s extremely passionate about today’s RTT so we had to have him at the table.”
While Willow and Cole haven’t seemed to confirm or deny their romance, it appears they’ve been close for years. Back in 2018, Cole wrote a sweet birthday tribute to Willow.
“You’re a queen & I love you so much,” Cole wrote. “Thank you for everything you have done for me. You have touched my life in a way you will never understand. Thank you for helping me through some of the toughest times in my life & joining me in this crazy journey through space.”

While Cole and Willow seem to be closer than ever, the same can’t be said for Jaden and ex-girlfriend Sarah Snyder. Jaden was reportedly dating Snyder back in 2016, but she was involved in a serious scandal. Harper’s Bazaar reports Snyder was arrested in June 2015 for stealing a Hermes Birkin bag valued at $16,000.
Snyder maintained she was innocent at the time of her arrest. “I feel no one believes me but my dad,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I just feel like it’s a crazy situation. So many people are like, ‘You stole a bag, you’re such a horrible person that you did this.’ I’ve gotten so much hate from this. I have been through so much for something I didn’t do.”
Finally, in February 2016, the charges were dismissed — but the damage to her reputation was likely done. “All the prejudice against me will hopefully evaporate because the courts confirmed I was in Florida,” she added. “I have been through so much sh*t this past year. I’m just glad it’s over.”
We’re not sure if this is who Jada had in mind when she said her son’s choices in girlfriends were questionable. But it seems Jaden’s flying solo so far in 2020.
