Jada Pinkett Smith Shocks Fans by Shaving Her Head Bald, See Photos of Her New Look
Jada Pinkett Smith has had a number of different hairstyles over the years. From her box braids to her short blonde coifs, Pinkett Smith is not afraid to change it up. But her most recent look came as a shock to fans, even for her. Recently, the Set it Off star shaved her head completely.

On Monday, Pinkett Smith reposted a picture to Instagram of her and her daughter, Willow Smith, with shaved heads.
“Willow made me do it because it was time to let go BUT … my 50’s are bout to be Divinely lit with this shed,” she wrote.
Willow originally shared the post with the caption, “💕<a gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return.”
Fan reactions
Fans and celebrities alike have been loving Pinkett Smith’s new look. Beyoncé Knowles’ mom, Tina Lawson, even commented on the post.
“Beautiful ❤️It Just shows that beautiful face and soulful eyes more prominently,” she wrote.
“Absolutely stunning,” another person wrote. “I’ve been thinking about doing this for so many years… might have to jump on it too.”

Singer Keri Hilson also chimed in.

Some women even found inspiration in Pinkett Smith.
“I suffer from alopecia in the same spots…turned 50 last year,” one person wrote. “You have given me strength to do the same!!”
“I have alopecia from a lack of thyroid and the meds I will have to take for the rest of my life,” another user commented. “Only my husband and children have seen me without my wig. You are so brave!! So incredibly brave!!”
Will Smith changed his hair too
Pinkett Smith isn’t the only one in the family to switch up her look. Her husband, Will Smith, is also looking a bit different these days.
In a new photo, shared Monday by Jordyn Woods’ mom, Elizabeth Woods, Will showed off his grey hair.
“@c.syresmith tropical birthday trip with family and friends who are family ❤️❤️🌴🌸,” Elizabeth captioned the post of her and Will.
Fans were not as supportive of Will’s new look as they were of Pinkett Smith’s.
“Will’s hair is not that gray,” one fan wrote.
“Yooooo Jada aged will by 20 years,” another said.
“I think I missed when Will Smith got so gray lol,” another wrote.
“Will Smith looking old old,” one person chimed in.
Willow Smith started the hair changes before Jada Pinkett Smith
This isn’t the first time a member of the Smith family has done something drastic with their hair. After releasing her hit song “Whip My Hair” at 10, Willow grew tired of the focus being on her locks and shaved her head.
“I was just over it,” Willow told InStyle. “The truth of the song is ‘do want you want;’ it doesn’t actually have to do with hair. ‘Whip your hair’ is just a symbol for doing whatever you want. So in a way, I feel like it wasn’t even a rebellion because the song was saying that, and I was doing whatever I wanted and just being wild — but obviously, it was a rebellion to people who thought it meant something different. I was just over it; I was literally so done and said, ‘I’m going to show people that I’m not attached to this.’”
Since then, both she and her mom have been changing their looks up whenever they see fit.
