Jana Duggar Posted About ‘Forgiveness’ and ‘Setting Aside Anger’ to Her Instagram

The Duggars have graced our TV screens for years, and they’ve also brought a bit of controversy with them. In the beginning, fans weren’t so sure about Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, as their ultra-religious, conservative ways didn’t sit well with everyone. But since then, way more drama has gone down. And more recently, it’s been Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, who’s stirring the pot with insider Duggar info.

There are plenty of Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids who manage to stay in the spotlight without creating controversy, though. And Jana Duggar is one of them. The 29-year-old still lives under Jim Bob and Michelle’s roof and is quite tame with her social media posts — though, a recent post to her Instagram Story about “forgiveness” has us wondering if she’s making a subtle jab at Jill’s husband’s claims. Here’s what’s going on.

Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, is stirring the pot with his Instagram comments

Those who follow the Duggars know that Jill and her husband appear to be on the outs. The couple rarely attends Duggar-related events and holidays at the big family home, and they’re also not regulars on TLC’s Counting On. Dillard has hinted that there’s a rift between the other Duggars and Jill in the past. And at the end of 2019, he took to his Instagram comments to give even more details.

According to Dillard, he and Jill still occasionally see the Duggars, but “it’s just harder now” because they’re “not allowed at the house when JB isn’t there.” Dillard then went into even more details about his claims and stated Jill can only visit the Duggar home when Jim Bob gives her express permission.

“Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB,” Dillard wrote.

In the Instagram comments, Dillard also called Jill an “abuse victim” and claimed he and Jill didn’t think they had a choice when it came to going on reality TV.

Jana Duggar thinks of Jim Bob Duggar as one of her best friends

Dillard may be calling out Jim Bob by name, but the Duggar patriarch certainly has support from many of his kids. And Jana Duggar frequently posts about how much she loves her dad.

We know Jana lives with Jim Bob and Michelle even though she’s nearly 30 years old. And she frequently talks quite highly of Jim Bob on Instagram. She even wrote a touching note on Instagram dedicated to him on Father’s Day — and she added that she’d love to marry a man like him one day.

“Dad is a giver. Always giving of his own goods and supplies without expecting anything in return. … He is quick to ask for forgiveness. He is a humble man. A man of patience, kindness, compassion, determination, strong. He is the one that leads our family and points us to Christ no matter the circumstance,” Jana wrote. “Couldn’t have prayed for a better Dad and can only hope to find a man like him to marry someday!!”

She posted to her Instagram Story about forgiving others

Jana’s Instagram is known for maintaining an upbeat, positive vibe. And she never comments or posts about any touchy subjects. But on Jan. 9, she added a religious quote to her Instagram Story about “forgiveness,” and the timing is making us wonder if she’s talking about Jill and her husband.

“It takes two to reconcile, so it is not always possible to be reconciled. But it only takes one to forgive,” the quote reads. “You cannot cancel their sin. Only God can do that, and he will only do that if they repent. But you can set aside your own anger, bitterness, and resentment toward them all.”

Is this Jana’s subtle way of saying she’s setting aside any “anger” or “bitterness” she may have over Dillard bringing drama upon her family? We’re not sure. And Jana may have just found the quote and wanted to post it because it resonated with her for some other less-dramatic reason. No matter what, we doubt Jana will make any comment on Jill’s family’s comments or drama, so this might be the closest we get.
