For those who follow the Duggar family, this is interesting because most Duggar children court and get married at such a young age. Often, by the time they’re in their early 20s, they’ve wed. And Michelle and Jim Bob were no different — they wed when Michelle was only 17 and Jim Bob was 19. But Jana has said before that she’s in no rush to meet the right person. Since Jana remains single, yet her younger sisters (specifically Jill and Jessa) have been married for quite a while now, people can’t help but start rumors about Jana’s love life. Jana’s best friend, Laura DeMasie, was at the center of a rumor when people began to speculate that the two may be romantically involved. However, both Lauren DeMasie and Derick Dillard, Jill Dillard’s husband, took to Twitter to shut down the rumors. In 2018, Jana was rumored to be dating Caleb Williams. However, the rumors were once again denied. Later, Williams was charged with sexual assault.
Now, Jana’s sister just shut down another dating rumor
In the latest rumors about Jana’s love life, fans speculated she may be romantically involved with Lawson Bates. Bates is a member of the Bates family — another family in the U.S. with 19 children. Bates and Duggar do share the same values, and he commented on her first Instagram post, prompting rumors of a relationship. Plus, it’s common for the Duggars to get Instagram accounts when they start courting. However, Jana’s younger sister, Jessa Duggar, was quick to squash those rumors and suggest the timing only a coincidence.
““Haha! That’s been merely coincidence for some,” Jessa wrote, according to People, in reference to Jana joining Instagram. “Definitely not a prerequisite. She’s not in a relationship.”

Fans can’t get enough of trying to figure out when Jana will find the love of her life. And it’s hard to tell why everyone is so concerned, but it’s likely only because of Jana’s age.
