Janelle Brown Offers First Glimpse of Her New North Carolina Home; She’s Putting Down Permanent Roots
Janelle Brown has closed a chapter of her life in Flagstaff, Arizona. Now, the Sister Wives star is giving fans a glimpse into what comes next. The mother of six recently took to Instagram to a first look at the North Carolina property where she plans to put down “permanent roots.” It looks shockingly similar to the undeveloped property she never got to live out her dreams on in Arizona.
Janelle Brown shares a short video of her North Carolina property
Janelle Brown moved from Arizona to North Carolina after purchasing the property, close to Maddie Brush’s home, in March 2024. News of the purchase came just weeks after Garrison Brown’s tragic death.
In the months since, she’s shared glimpses of her plans for the property, including launching a flower business that she will operate from the land. Now, she’s showing fans exactly what she bought.
In a recent Instagram upload, Janelle filmed a small portion of her acreage with “Take Me Home, Country Roads” playing in the background. In the caption, Janelle noted that she had big plans for the land but intended to leave some of it “wild” to help wildlife conservation efforts. She said it doesn’t look like much now, but big things will happen.
The North Carolina acreage is located in Chocowinity, a small town roughly 30 minutes from Greenville, North Carolina. Janelle paid just under $300,000 for 156 acres of land. The property will house her home and her business, Taeda Farms.
The ‘Sister Wives’ star was the Brown family member most attached to Arizona
While Janelle is officially moving on and making her dreams come true in North Carolina, she once dreamed of developing land in Arizona. Janelle was the Brown family member most attached to the idea of developing Coyote Pass.
In fact, she hoped to live on the land longer than anyone else. She’s the only one who actually spent the night on the land, albeit in an RV.
Kody Brown expressed concerns that Janelle would still want to develop the property during season 19 of Sister Wives despite her insisting that their plural marriage was dead. With her move to North Carolina and Kody and Robyn Brown’s recent purchase of a new sprawling property in Flagstaff, plans to develop Coyote Pass appear officially destroyed.
What the former polygamist group will do with the land now is anyone’s guess. According to recent tax records, it is worth well over $1 million, but splitting it up is likely to be complicated.
Meri Brown, who also owns a portion of the property, has left Arizona behind, too. She currently lives in Parowan, Utah. Christine Brown gave up her claim to the property when she left Arizona and moved to Salt Lake City following her split from Kody.
