Janelle Brown Sells Garrison Brown’s House 9 Months After His Death
Janelle Brown no longer lives in Flagstaff, Arizona. While the Sister Wives star has moved to North Carolina, she had some loose ends to tie up in Flagstaff in recent months. Now, she has one less issue in the Grand Canyon State to contend with. Janelle Brown has officially sold Garrison Brown’s house. She was tasked with dealing with the property after Garrison’s sudden and tragic death at the age of 25.
Janelle Brown sells Garrison Brown’s home without Kody’s involvement
Janelle Brown has officially sold Garrison Brown’s house. According to the U.S. Sun, the deal went through on Dec. 26. The home went under contract in late November and closed just a week before the new year. Janelle had been trying to sell the property since September but initially had no luck. She slashed the price twice before finding a buyer. The property was first listed for $425,000. It finally sold for $388,000.
According to the publication, Kody Brown’s name does not appear in any paperwork associated with Garrison Brown’s estate. Kody and Garrison had been estranged in the years before his death, but his lack of inclusion in the estate also lends credence to the idea that Kody is not listed on most of his children’s birth certificates.
Garrison purchased the townhome in 2021, during the early stages of his falling out with Kody Brown. He paid $329,000 for the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The real estate listing notes that the home features new vinyl floors, a den, and a small outdoor space.
How did Garrison Brown die?
Garrison Brown died by suicide in March 2024. The 25-year-old was found by his younger brother, Gabriel Brown, inside his bedroom in the home he owned. Gabriel was asked to go by the property and check on his brother after Janelle Brown grew concerned when he stopped responding to messages.
Us Weekly obtained the autopsy report generated following Garrison’s death. According to the report, Garrison was heavily intoxicated at the time of his death, with a blood alcohol content of .307%. A BAC above 0.3 is potentially fatal.
Following Garrison’s death, the family remembered him as a kind and gentle soul. Several family members paid tribute on social media, and Sister Wives fans flooded a Flagstaff animal shelter with donations in Garrison’s name. He was a proud “cat dad.”
