Police say that Cutler rear-ended another vehicle in downtown Franklin, Tenn. He then reportedly offered the other driver $2,000 to not call the police.

When officers did arrive on the scene, they observed that the one-time quarterback for the Chicago Bears had “bloodshot eyes” and was “staggering, swaying and heavy-footed while walking,” according to a police report obtained by Us Weekly.

Cutler initially denied he’d been drinking, but eventually admitted he had consumed alcohol. When officers searched his car, they found a rifle in the backseat and a loaded Glock handgun in the center console.

Cutler was arrested and released after he posted $5,000 bail.

It took two years for Cutler and Cavallari to finalize their divorce. The couple’s complicated financial situation was reportedly a major reason for the delay. In addition to Cutler’s football wealth, Cavallari has significant assets from her reality TV show career and her lifestyle business, Uncommon James.

“Everybody is cooperating to get everything finalized and valued,” a source told E! News. “Everything has been agreed on except the division of assets. Generally, in divorce cases, assets, including businesses are valued and then determined on how they are split.”

Cutler and Cavallari’s divorce was finalized in 2022.

In recent years, Cutler has launched a meat subscription called CUTS and a Nashville-based brewery, Gratis Beer. He’s also an owner of Outsider, an apparel and lifestyle brand.
