Jay-Z and Beyoncé Received Execution Threats Amid Rape Allegation
Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, faced rape allegations in 2024. The accuser claimed Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her at 13 years old after the 2000 VMAs. Jay-Z maintained his innocence throughout the case, which the accuser now dropped. Here’s what the rapper said about him and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter receiving death and execution threats from outsiders.
Court documents show Jay-Z said he and Beyoncé received execution threats amid his lawsuit

An anonymous accuser set forth a lawsuit claiming Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her in September 2000 during a VMA afterparty. Jay-Z denied the claims, slamming the case as “frivolous, fictitious and appalling.” Nevertheless, he claimed the allegations were hurting Beyoncé and their three children. In February 2025, the accuser dropped the case.
“This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere,” Jay-Z said, according to The Sun. “The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones, and I have endured can never be dismissed.”
According to The U.S. Sun, Jay-Z is suing lawyer Tony Buzbee, as Buzbee filed the allegations. Court documents show Jay-Z citing how outsiders threatened him and Beyoncé.
“Social media comments online responding to Mr Buzbee’s public statements about me and accusations against me have caused me harm,” Jay-Z stated. “For example, people have said, ‘I can’t wait until you join (Combs) in prison. Then later in hell.’ Other comments have accused me of being a ‘satanist,’ a ‘trafficker,’ a ‘terrorist,’ and a ‘monster,’ called me the N-word, and threatened violence against me and my wife, including to ‘kill’ or ‘execute’ us.”
Jay-Z says he lost $20 million in contracts since the lawsuit was filed in October 2024.
