Jay-Z did not mince words in his response to allegations that he and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped a 13-year-old girl at a VMAs afterparty in 2000.

On Dec. 8, an unnamed woman who’d previously accused Combs of rape amended her civil lawsuit to name Jay-Z as well. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, denies wrongdoing. He called the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt.”

Jay-Z is ‘more than prepared’ to address rape allegations

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the anonymous plaintiff, has filed multiple lawsuits against Combs in recent months. The Bad Boy Records founder is currently behind bars in New York City awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. He has pleaded not guilty. He is also facing numerous civil suits.

In a statement shared to the Roc Nation X account on Dec. 8, Jay-Z denied the rape allegation against him and slammed Buzbee, vowing to “expose” the Texas attorney for “fraud” in a “VERY public fashion.”

“What he calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” the statement said. “No, sir it had the opposite effect! … I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”

Jay-Z went on to call the allegations against him “heinous,” noting that if they were true, a criminal complaint should be filed, not a civil one. The “99 Problems” rapper suggested that Buzbee had a habit of going after high-profile individuals accused of sexual assault and harassment.

“This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over,” Jay-Z said. “I’m more than prepared to deal with your type. You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity.”

Jay-Z says Buzbee ‘made a terrible error’ in going after a man ‘who made it out of the project[s] of Brooklyn’

While Jay-Z denied wrongdoing, he expressed support for “true victims” of assault, “who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”

The Grammy winner also said that Buzbee had chosen the wrong person to go after in court.

“You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project[s] of Brooklyn,” the 55-year-old continued. “We don’t play these types of games.”

Buzbee did not take Jay-Z’s comments lying down. He responded in an Instagram post, where he referenced his military service and said he and his family had been harassed because of the lawsuit.

“Despite a coordinated and aggressive effort that has included harassing my kids, contacting my clients and former clients to encourage them to sue me, contacting my colleagues or former employees asking if I’ve ‘abused’ them, showing up at my current employees’ homes to harass them, filing frivolous cases against me and my law firm, defaming me with outrageous assertions to anyone who will listen, and having mysterious people follow me and my family, I’m still THAT guy. I won’t be bullied or intimidated,” he wrote.

“Sunlight is the best disinfectant,” Buzbee added.
