Jay-Z’s $1.7 Million Luxury Ride Isn’t Easy to Purchase
Jay-Z and Beyoncé are more than likely the most powerful couple in the music industry, and their bank accounts are proof of it. Like most rappers, Jay-Z started from the bottom, but now he’s here with millions, if not billions, to his name.
His music empire, which includes a label and a music streaming service, have all been very successful. And of course, his wife, Beyoncé, who has been as successful, if not more successful than him, also has a lot of money to her name, and she also loves to give him expensive gifts, too.
And of course, Jay-Z likes to give himself gifts too, and one of them was a rare $1.7 million car.

Jay-Z made his debut in 1996 with his album, Reasonable Doubt, and his career has blossomed since then. While his own music has become less and less important to his net worth, his recent albums have still been successful.
Nowadays, Jay-Z is more businessman than rapper, as he owns sports bars, a popular record label, and of course, Tidal, the music streaming service that featured his music, Beyonce’s music, and many other popular artists’ music.
As a result of these business ventures, Jay-Z has a net worth of $1 billion, not including Beyonce’s earnings. When Beyoncé’s wealth is added in, the two are worth $1.5 billion combined. With that amount of money, they’ve treated themselves to some extremely classy and expensive cars.
Jay-Z’s expensive garage of cars
Fast and powerful cars are a staple of hip hop, so, since Jay-Z is a hip hop billionaire, he obviously has some very expensive cars in his garage. Like Hot Cars wrote, one of those cars include an $8 million Maybach Exelero.
The Exelero was a one-off car, so Maybach only built it once and never again. It had a 5.9-liter V12 engine that generated almost 700-hp. This powerful engine allowed it to hit a top speed of 218 MPH, but, due to its size, its acceleration wasn’t actually that impressive as it could go from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds. That said, since the Exelero was built in 2004, it was impressive for the time.
However, Jay-Z has another ultra-rare car that’s also extremely expensive and extremely powerful. That car, according to Hot Cars, is a Pagani Zonda Roadster. It’s not clear which version of the Zonda that Jay-Z bought, but regardless, it’s still an extremely rare car. Across its 18 years in production, Pagani has only made 140 of them in total.

Sources differ on which version of the Zonda that Jay-Z bought, but Auto World News said that he got himself a Zonda Roadster F, which was made in 2006. Like other Zonda versions, Pagani built very few of these cars, and only 25 were ever built.
This version of the Zonda had a 7.3-liter V12 engine that generated about 640-hp. Despite being less powerful than the Exelero, this Zonda could go from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.4 seconds, and it could hit a top speed of 217 MPH.
At the time, Auto World News said that this Zonda was worth about $670,000. However, due to its extreme rarity and its powerful specs, CarBuzz said that this version of the Zonda is now worth about $1.4 million. Regardless of its true price, the Zonda was an extremely powerful supercar that’s fitting for one of the most powerful artists in the music industry.
That said, while these cars were expensive, Jay-Z has more. He and his family have a private jet, a Bombardier Challenger 850 to be exact, and it’s worth about $40 million.
