Jay-Z’s 39th Birthday Gift to Beyoncé Couldn’t Be More Romantic
When it comes to giving gifts, Jay-Z seems to have it down pat.
In honor of his wife Beyoncé’s 39th birthday on Friday, Sept. 4, the “Otis” rapper appeared to go all out. Though neither of them shared details, a social media user revealed that he allegedly threw Beyoncé an intimate dinner on a private island in Europe. Beyoncé appeared to love it as she was seen beaming in a photo circulating the Internet.
Beyoncé’s apparent birthday gift from Jay-Z was heartfelt
Jay-Z allegedly hired two chefs, Fabrizio and Antonio Mellino of the restaurant Quattro Passi in Nerano, Italy, to cook for Beyoncé on Sept. 4.
Beyoncé posed for a photo with the chefs that Antonio posted to his Instagram page. She is seen wearing an all-white outfit and bright red lipstick with her long bronde hair hanging loosely down her back as she and the chefs smile at the camera.
“JAY-Z hired [chefs] for a special dinner on the private island of Galešnjak, famous island of love, rented by him for B’s birthday,” read the caption of a post shared to Antonio’s Instagram Story that was viewed by Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“What a unique and indescribable experience, having had the opportunity for the umpteenth time to cook for Beyoncé and her family on a private island for her birthday,” he wrote.
“Being @beyonce’s birthday present from husband [Jay-Z] has given us indescribable joy. Humility, sincerity, and passion for this profession will always be the key sentiments of the Mellino family … Happy Birthday again,” read another post shared on the restaurant’s Instagram page.
Beyoncé also celebrated on a yacht
Around the same time, Beyoncé was photographed sailing around the Mediterranean with her and Jay-Z’s kids — 8-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and 3-year-old twins Sir and Rumi.
TMZ says the yacht is “longer than a football field” and comes complete with eight en-suite staterooms, seven VIP staterooms, a theater, a spa, plenty of “toys” for water sports, and more. The outlet estimates that it costs roughly $2 million a week to rent.
Before the birthday getaway, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spending time in The Hamptons. The couple, who married in 2008 following a six-year relationship, were said to be staying in a $26 million mansion along with their kids and other family members, including Beyoncé’s mom Tina.
“Lately they’ve been socializing with friends more, but they’ve kept their circle small, they’re cautious. For the most part, it’s been a lot of quality family time,” a source told HollywoodLife in a report published on Aug. 29.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not shared any updates about their lives in recent weeks. But from the look of it, it seems like they’re having a really amazing time. Happy Birthday, Bey!
