Jenelle Evans’ Estranged Husband, David Eason, Has Been Arrested … Again
The men of the Teen Mom franchise can’t seem to stay on the right side of the law. Bar Smith still sits in jail awaiting a trial. Nathan Griffith is working on sobriety amid serious legal woes. Now, David Eason has joined the ranks of ex-Teen Mom men with multiple serious legal issues. Eason was reportedly arrested, yet again, in North Carolina. He already has one pending criminal case.
David Eason was arrested for trespassing
David Eason spent the weekend in jail after he was caught trespassing on the land he once called home. According to The Ashley Reality Roundup Group, the local sheriff’s office picked up Eason on Nov. 8, 2024, for criminal trespassing and violating a protective order.
What led to the arrest is a bit complicated. The incident that led to his arrest occurred weeks earlier. He was released two days later after posting bail.
According to the publication, Eason, along with his girlfriend and others, broke through Evans’ gate and removed tools and ATVs from the property. Somehow, though, police escorted the group to the property, thinking they had permission to remove items from the property.
Still, the courts had not authorized him to be on the property or to take anything from it. It is unclear if he actually took anything during the incident.
Evans was recently back in North Carolina to tend to some court issues. It’s unclear if she reported the theft after returning to the land. The protective order, which a judge issued on May 16, will expire in just a few days. She is likely to return to the state to extend the order.
David Eason is already facing a felony charge
The charges from his recent run-in with police are nothing in comparison to the pending criminal charges he is facing. In 2023, David Eason was arrested for physically assaulting Jace Evans, Jenelle Evans’ teenage son. The incident occurred during the brief time Jace was living with his mother and her then-husband. He had resided with his grandmother, Barbara Evans, for most of his childhood. CPS removed him from Jenelle and David’s home after the incident.
Initially, police charged Eason with one count of child abuse. They later upgraded those charges. According to TMZ, the courts slapped Eason with an upgraded felony strangulation charge in January.
Evans, who initially sided with her troubled husband, changed direction in February. Eason left their shared home near Wilmington, North Carolina, and took up residence in a broken-down boat they owned. Evans filed for legal separation. He has moved on and appears to live with his much younger girlfriend, Kenleigh Heatwole. Evans, for her part, has moved to Las Vegas to live with her manager-turned-boyfriend, August Keen.
