Jenelle Evans Explains Why Her Rental Home Has so Little Furniture
Jenelle Evans has been going through it following her move to Las Vegas. The former Teen Mom 2 star has had several hiccups in her new relationship, gotten fired, and dealt with custody drama. Evans has often taken to social media to show her emotions during the more dramatic moments of her life. While the former reality TV star surely wants people to focus on her tears, followers have noticed her current Las Vegas home looks sparsely decorated. Evans explained why that is in a recent TikTok appearance.
Jenelle Evans reveals why she has no furniture
Jenelle Evans took to TikTok to explain her future plans. The former reality TV star inadvertently solved a mystery that followers have spent weeks talking about, too. Ever since Evans moved to Las Vegas last year, followers have openly discussed the lack of furniture in the home. In a recent upload, Evans sat in a recliner, which appeared to be the only furniture in the room to cry, further igniting chatter about her decor or lack thereof.
During her TikTok live event, Evans revealed her home is mostly empty by design. She said she has no plans to stay in the rental property long-term. Because it is a temporary home, she has avoided filling it with too much stuff that will need to be moved. She went on to claim she hopes to buy a home soon. She did not say whether that home would be in Las Vegas or elsewhere.
Evans said she isn’t quite ready for the purchase yet. She claimed she is working on her credit and waiting for interest rates to come down before taking the plunge. If she signed a one-year lease on the rental property when she first moved to Vegas, she’d need to make a decision relatively quickly. There should only be a few more months left on the lease.
What is happening to the house Jenelle Evans already owns?
When Jenelle Evans left North Carolina to move closer to her manager-turned-love-interest, August Keen, she vacated the home she purchased with David Eason years earlier. Eason left the property months before and isn’t allowed to return. So, has she sold her North Carolina land?
It appears that Evans still owns the house. She likely will have to hold on to it until her divorce proceedings are complete. It’s unclear if Eason has any claim to the home or its equity. In the meantime, the house is sitting vacant most of the time. Presumably, Evans stays at the house when she travels to North Carolina for court appearances. She appears in the state semi-regularly.
Evans and Eason can file for divorce in mid-February. However, it is unclear how long it will take for the split to be finalized. They separated in February 2024.
