Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been traversing the country extensively since moving to Las Vegas in May. Since leaving her East Coast lair, she’s returned to the area at least three times. Now, she’s been spotted in North Carolina again. While it’s unclear why she’s returned to her hometown this time, the timing suggests it has something to do with a restraining order she has against her estranged husband, David Eason.

Jenelle Evans was spotted in Wilmington, North Carolina

Jenelle Evans might call Las Vegas home right now, but a Teen Mom fan spotted her on the streets of Wilmington, North Carolina. A Reddit user took to the forum to share a photo of the former Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star meandering down the street with a gentleman. The man in question is believed to be Evans’ boyfriend, August Keen. Evans hasn’t revealed why she has returned to North Carolina. The visit coincides with the expiration of a restraining order she has against David Eason.

Evans was granted a restraining order in mid-May, but a judge clarified that the temporary order would only be in place for six months. If Evans wanted to extend the order, she had to return to court to do so. Although she now lives across the country, the mother of three appears to be in North Carolina to do that. At the very least, the timing of her most recent visit matches up. She is in the state within days of the order expiring.

Why would Jenelle Evans want the order of protection extended?

Back in May, the judge who granted the order suggested he was hopeful that Evans would not need to return for an extension. If Evans seeks to extend the order, there must be a reason. Is David Eason harassing her, or is she concerned he might hop a flight to Las Vegas? Both options are possible. Still, it seems more likely that Evans hopes to Keep Eason off social media.

According to the U.S. Sun, the original order prohibited Eason from discussing his estranged wife and her children on social media. Before a judge issued the order, Eason made money on TikTok discussing his ex. Once the order was issued, he stopped posting. Once it expires, he can do so again if he wants. Evans may be trying to keep him quiet and off of social media.

Eason shouldn’t be worried about posting online, regardless. Instead, he should be worried about his upcoming criminal case. Eason was arrested last year for assaulting Jace Evans. While he has not gone to trial yet, the troubled North Carolina native is facing years behind bars if convicted of the felony.
