Jennifer Aniston Revealed the 1 Workout That Changed Her Body the Most
Jennifer Aniston has kept her body in tip top shape thanks to healthy dieting and a dedicated training regimen. However, there’s one recent workout routine she’s been doing that’s yielded the most results. And it’s even less intense than some of her previous workouts.
Jennifer Aniston shared the benefits of her life-changing workout
Aniston has taken her fitness routine seriously over the years. So much so that she doesn’t agree she simply looks good for her age, a statement she takes offense to.
“It drives me bananas; I can’t stand it,” she once told Vogue. “That’s a habit of society that we have these markers like, ‘Well, you’re at that stage, so for your age… I don’t even understand what it means.”
Instead, Aniston felt she was in better shape than she even was in her 20s. If she could, she’d go back and give the younger version of herself some much-needed advice on physical health.
“I like to find something that really works and then share it with my girlfriends,” Aniston once said in an interview with People. “If I had known about it 20 years ago when I was breaking my body to begin with, we would’ve saved so much pain.”
She credits her low-impact fitness program, Pvolve, for keeping her young and fresh. Aniston became a partner and contributor to the brand after benefiting from its workouts. Its classes can range from 25 to 60 minutes, and focus on a wide range of exercises designed to improve strength, mobility, and self-control. But the biggest advantage of the workout was that it allowed Aniston to reap the benefits that came with exercise without torturing her body.
“In all the workouts I’ve tried over the years, this one has transformed my body more than any of the others, and it’s a really enjoyable workout that I don’t feel intimidated by, that I don’t dread,” she said in a recent People interview. “I get excited, because I also know that if I’m not feeling 100%, if I only have 20 minutes in me, that’s all I do. … It meets you where you’re at, and I love that about it.”
“I’ve never had this kind of definition. [These workouts] get into those micro little muscles that are underneath bigger muscles that you just don’t even know existed, so you’re really getting strong from the inside out,” she added.
Jennifer Aniston had to retrain her brain to find the right workout
Aniston used to believe in the notion that great results in training didn’t come without tremendous stress on the body. But she believed the Pvolve program debunked one of fitness’s main philosophies.
“You can actually have gain with no pain,” she said.
But Aniston had to entirely change the way she thought about the workout process before taking such a different approach to her fitness.
“I had to retrain my brain,” she said. “It used to be pounding, pounding, pounding. You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren’t getting a workout.”
But as many fitness gurus might attest to, working out is only part of the equation. Aniston’s diet is very flexible, as she has no real rules for her food habits. However, there are some drinks she has consistently to help enhance her fitness journey.
“I drink ARMRA Colostrum first thing in the morning, with room temperature water and a whole lemon squeezed into it,” she said, giving a glimpse into her eating habits.
“I’ll steep a little teaspoon of ginger, which is good for your digestion and your immune system, and then I’ll put a little drop of Manuka honey,” she added. “It’s so delicious served hot.”
