Fans of The Real Housewives have grown to depend on Andy Cohen being a bit messy when it comes to off-set drama. He has delivered once again. The Bravo executive recently responded to Jennifer Aydin’s insistence that she’ll be returning for season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. He didn’t wholly shut down Aydin’s claim. Still, he made it pretty evident that the Paramus-based housewife is unlikely to reprise her role, as far as he is concerned.

Jennifer Aydin insists she’s returning to ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ for season 15

Jennifer Aydin once insisted that she’d be fine if she wasn’t invited back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for season 15. Sure, Aydin might be OK with the idea. Still, she’s not ready to let the series go. In a recent Instagram Live event, Aydin responded to a follower who said they didn’t want to see her back on the series.

Aydin was quick to respond, insisting that she would be back before giving the camera the middle finger. Aydin’s claim sent The Real Housewives rumor mill into overdrive. Fans scrambled to find out if there was any truth to Aydin’s claims or if she was lashing out at a follower insulting her. The latter seems to be accurate, at least according to Andy Cohen.

Andy Cohen comments on Jennifer Aydin’s claims

Andy Cohen once again took to his Sirius XM show, Andy Cohen Live, to cryptically spill the beans on The Real Housewives franchise. Earlier this week, Cohen was shocked to learn Aydin had told Instagram followers that she was set to return for season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Fans got to hear his reaction in real-time, and it isn’t good news for Aydin or her fans.

Cohen first claimed “nothing” had been done with the series. He quickly recanted the statement, insisting the network had made significant moves on the show before clamming up. He couldn’t stay quiet for long. During the show, he shot down Aydin’s claims roundaboutly, exclaiming “No!” before he said he “wished her well.” He advised fans not to believe anything they hear unless it directly comes from him or Bravo. Aydin has yet to respond to Cohen’s comments.

Andy Cohen isn’t against the idea of a complete refresh

In recent weeks, Cohen and everyone else involved in the show’s production have been incredibly tight-lipped about plans for the future. The drama of season 14 has soured many fans of the series. The cast’s in-fighting has put the network in a difficult position. It would be almost impossible to make all The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans happy if they shuffle the current lineup of housewives around. So, what could they do? A complete cast refresh would be the easiest way to make fans happy and still capitalize on the show’s popularity.

While not every fan is on board with the idea, more viewers like the concept than not. Andy Cohen is also into the idea. Weeks before the season 14 finale, Cohen told a caller that he wasn’t opposed to bringing “all fresh faces” onto the series. He later walked back the statement, insisting the network hadn’t made any final decision yet, but fans didn’t buy it. It has been months since that slip, and things seemingly changed. Cohen seems more confident than ever that many of the ladies who participated in season 14 won’t return for an upcoming season.
