Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had a longstanding Hollywood romance that ended in 2015. After 10 years of marriage, the couple amicably parted ways and continued to co-parent three children. Now, Garner is reportedly helping Affleck navigate his difficulties with Jennifer Lopez while she maintains her relationship with her boyfriend, John Miller. A source claims that Miller and Garner might want to take their romance “to the next level.”

Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend, John Miller, might be ready for the next step in their relationship

Jennifer Garner and John Miller started dating shortly after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2018. At the time, Garner was reportedly “ready to start the next phase of her life,” according to Us Weekly, and she connected with the CEO of CaliGroup. Like Garner, Miller was also previously married with children. He was still legally married to Caroline Campbell when he and Garner started dating, and they share two kids.

Miller has been a beacon of stability for Garner after her issues with Ben Affleck. Garner helped Affleck with his alcohol abuse, even driving him to rehab in 2018 after they separated. Miller reportedly understands Garner’s commitment to helping her ex and supports her in the best way he can.

“Jen has been thankful for John’s stable love and support during issues she has faced with [ex-husband Ben Affleck’s] sobriety,” a source told Us Weekly. “He isn’t jealous and understands Jen’s commitment to helping Ben.”

So, what’s in store for Garner and Miller moving forward? A source told Entertainment Tonight that Garner and Miller are discussing what’s next. “Jennifer is in a very happy place and gets along with Ben and Jen[nifer Lopez],” the source said in May 2024. ” … Jennifer Garner and John Miller are doing well, and they have talked about escalating their relationship to the next level.”

Another source told Us Weekly in January 2023 that Garner “sees a long-term future” with Miller. “There’s no desire on her part to slow things down, spend less time together, or anything like that.”

They reportedly broke up in the past because Jennifer Garner ‘couldn’t commit’

Jennifer Garner and John Miller hit a rough patch in 2020. A source told Us Weekly that Miller wanted marriage, but Garner wasn’t ready. They went their separate ways that year.

“He was ready for marriage, and she just couldn’t commit,” the insider claimed. “They parted on very amicable terms.”

A year later, Garner and Miller were back on and willing to allow their children to mingle more. Previously, the couple didn’t want to involve the children if their relationship didn’t work out. But once they got back together, they reportedly felt confident enough in their romance to involve the kids.

John Miller is allegedly ‘bothered’ that Ben Affleck takes up so much of his girlfriend’s time

John Miller supports Jennifer Garner’s friendship with Ben Affleck, especially because the exes share three kids. However, Garner’s current support for Affleck might be wearing on her boyfriend amid the Jennifer Lopez divorce rumors. An insider told DailyMail.com that Affleck leaning heavily on Garner is “bothering” Miller.

“Of course, it bothers John that Jen is so hyper-focused on her ex-husband,” the insider alleged. “He cares deeply for Ben and sympathizes with what he is going through with Jennifer. But that doesn’t mean Jen should be the one to fix her ex-husband’s issues with his current wife. That makes no sense to anyone.”

The insider added that Garner helping Affleck “doesn’t affect her current relationship” in a “negative way.”
