Known as one of America’s sweethearts, Jennifer Garner began professionally acting as a teenager. She landed roles on shows such as Law & Order and Significant Others. According to IMDb, it was in the late ’90s — when the pretty brunette appeared in the teen drama Felicity, alongside her future husband, Scott Foley — that her career took off.
According to Insider, Garner became more recognizable and took a role alongside Ashton Kutcher in the hit movie Dude, Where’s My Car? And in 2001, she met Ben Affleck while working together on Pearl Harbor. They became one of the best-known celebrity couples, and Us Weekly reported that their celebrity relationship was strong as could be. At one point, Garner said of her husband: “He is the base of my life. He is an incredibly loving and generous man.”
But the couple eventually grew apart and separated after three children and 10 years of marriage. After calling it quits, the friendly exes continue co-parenting their kids, and Affleck says of the relationship: “You’ve got to pick yourself up, learn from it, learn some more, try to move forward.”

She wasn’t afraid that the process would be painful or uncomfortable. Instead, the Alias star said she was more concerned about what her father would think.
According to People, Garner was “afraid” he would disapprove because he was strict when she was growing up. However, he surprised her by telling her he “loves anything she does,” so she finally decided to pierce her ears.
What does Garner think of her new piercings? She is thrilled, saying, “It’s really nice to have something sparkly.” She even admitted she wished she had done it sooner. “I’m so thrilled by them. I can’t believe it never occurred to me to do this. I love them.”
