Jennifer Garner and John Miller keep their romance out of the public eye. While Garner experienced intense media scrutiny during her divorce from Ben Affleck, she and Miller work hard to keep their private life between them. According to sources close to the couple, Garner and Miller enjoy their low-key, boring date nights. Here’s what the insider shared, including Garner’s rule about Miller sleeping over.

Jennifer Garner and John Miller love their date nights without ‘glitz or glam or excitement,’ a source says

Jennifer Garner and John Miller started dating in 2018 — the same year Garner and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce. Garner and Affleck remained on good terms through their split, allowing them both to move on quickly with other romantic partners. While Garner and Miller have reportedly had their ups and downs through the years, they appear stronger than ever in 2024. A source told Life & Style that they’re “perfect for each other,” as they both enjoy boring nights in for their date nights.

“They almost never go anywhere, and when they do go on a date it’s usually to the most low-key places,” the source explained. “There’s no glitz or glam or excitement. They really are perfect for each other because they both seem happiest just staying home for their date nights and maybe taking a walk around the neighborhood after dinner.”

When it comes to the end of the night, Garner reportedly sends Miller home by 10 p.m. She allegedly doesn’t allow him to sleep over when her kids are home. “She likes to get her beauty sleep and be there for kids in the morning,” the source continued. “Plus, she’s too respectful of her kids to have him do sleepovers when they’re home, which is most of the time.”

Garner and Miller’s friends allegedly want the couple to “spice” things up. “They’re acting way older than their years,” the insider continued.

Jennifer Garner and John Miller have a special bond that they don’t feel the need to share too openly with the public. While Garner and Miller seem to have an incredible romance behind closed doors, Celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti told Fox News Digital that the celebrity couple has “one of the most elusive relationships in Hollywood.”

“He hasn’t even posed with her publicly in any of the events that they’ve been to, which, honestly, as a matchmaker and as a matchmaker that works with celebrities, I would say that I’m not a fan of going about a relationship in that way when you’re with an A-lister,” Conti said. “While of course, privacy is wonderful, it’s a wonderful goal to have, it almost shames a female celebrity into almost being bashful or apologetic about her career and about the level of success that she’s attained.”

Conti added that Miller’s behavior gives an “unsupportive” energy. However, given how Garner and Miller enjoy their privacy, they likely discussed how much PDA they want to show during events.

Jennifer Garner once spoke about running the ‘risk of being boring’

Jennifer Garner does her best to stay out of the headlines — and she succeeds. While her relationship with John Miller may look dull to outsiders, she’s spoken about how to stay present in her life in the past. In 2019, she gave sage advice during the Denison University commencement.

“Impose self-discipline around three things: have a book on your bedside table at all times and read it, obviously,” Garner shared. “Be in charge of your consumption of social media, and foster a sense of humor about yourselves, because otherwise, you run the risk of being boring.”
