Jennifer Garner Is ‘Very Happy’ With Her and Boyfriend John Miller’s ‘Easy-Going’ Relationship: Report
This may be a tough time for Ben Affleck as his marriage to Jennifer Lopez ends, but his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner is “very happy” romantically. The Deadpool & Wolverine star is reportedly having “fun” with her boyfriend, John Miller.
Garner is ‘very happy’ in her and Miller’s relationship
A source told People that Garner, 52, and Miller are very much on despite reports Ben Affleck’s presence has caused friction (more on that later). They claimed the pair, who were first linked in 2018, spend as much time together as they can. That is, whenever The Last Thing He Told Me star isn’t with her and Affleck’s children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
“She loves [Miller],” the insider said, noting Garner and the businessman recently spent the weekend together while the kids were with their father. (Paparazzi photographed Affleck arriving for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel with Lopez —and their respective children—amid their divorce.)
Miller and Garner previously took a “long break from dating” in February 2023. Now, however, “They are serious,” the source said. “He’s also a co-parent and understands her priority. Their relationship is fun and easy-going. She’s very happy.”
Staying close to Affleck’s reportedly caused problems in Garner and Miller’s relationship
This comes after reports Garner’s closeness with her ex, Affleck, caused some major tension between her and Miller. A source told the Daily Mail that Miller “doesn’t like sharing” his girlfriend with Affleck.
“John doesn’t like sharing Jen, and there is a divide when it comes to her and Ben,” the insider claimed. “He wishes it wasn’t like that because he understands they are a family. But it gets to him like it would anyone.” “[He] is looking forward to Ben and J.Lo’s split being done so he can start focusing on Jen.”
Miller’s patience is said to be wearing thin these days. “John is at the end of his rope with what he considers Jen’s ‘unfathomable’ support for her ex-hubby while ignoring him in the process,” a source told Life & Style.
They also added Miller and Lopez are equally “humiliated” by how close Affleck and Garner still are. “Don’t think John didn’t feel the same way!” the insider said. “John is still incredulous [that] the woman he was close to marrying pushed him aside to focus on repairing her ex’s love life! How is he supposed to feel?”
Now, Garner is said to be attempting to “woo” Miller, who is in “second place” behind Affleck, “back and salvage the relationship” after having “overplayed her hand.”
Garner wasn’t ready to date after splitting from Affleck
The Alias alum once shared she hadn’t been ready to return to the dating scene after she and Affleck split up. They separated in 2015 after a decade of marriage before officially divorcing in 2018.
“I would not have chosen this life for myself or my kids,” she said at a 2017 Hollywood Foreign Press Association conference. “I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It’s something that we are working through. I haven’t been on a date, and I am not interested in dating. People want to set me up and I am just like, ‘No, thank you!’”
At the time Garner also referred to her and her ex-husband as “friends,” saying they were handling the transition to co-parenting. “We will all be together for Thanksgiving,” she said. “I love Ben…We will be together with our kids and give them a special Christmas. We get along really well, and it’s not an issue. We are friends, we can manage it.”
