He thinks The Accountant 2 star “crossed the line” cozying up to Garner. Despite knowing “nothing is going on” between the two, Miller doesn’t want it to happen again and has reportedly issued an ultimatum.

On March 2, 2025, Garner and Affleck were spotted in photos obtained by Page Six celebrating their son Samuel’s 13th birthday at a Castaic, Calif., paintball park. The moment that has reportedly upset the 13 Going on 30 actor’s boyfriend happened when the exes were seen laughing and talking as Affleck had his arm around Garner’s waist during the festivities.
Garner and Affleck, who are also parents to Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16, are known to spend time together as a family. However, the cozy moment between the former couple is said to have bothered Miller. So much so that an “ultimatum” has been issued.

According to Page Six, Garner’s boyfriend of nearly seven years issued an ultimatum after the photos of her and Affleck. Miller “has always been supportive of Ben and Jen’s co-parenting relationship,” a source told the outlet, “but feels Ben crossed the line.”
“John knows there’s nothing going on between Jen and Ben,” the insider explained. “But he doesn’t think those photos are a good look and feels it’s disrespectful to their relationship.” So the 47-year-old “gave Jen an ultimatum.”
“He doesn’t want to see anything like that again,” the source added. “Or he has no choice but to walk away.”
Meanwhile, for Affleck and Garner, talk of a potential reunion following their 2015 split is just that—talk. “Jen knows about the widespread speculation that she and Ben are going to work it out. As does Ben,” a source told Daily Mail. “They laugh about it because they both know it’s not going to happen.”
However, another insider previously claimed that falling for Affleck yet again is something Garner fears.

Miller’s ultimatum comes after his growing discomfort about Affleck and Garner. Page Six previously reported that Miller hasn’t been “thrilled” the former couple has been spending more time together.
The CaliBurger CEO “knows Ben and Jen have been leaning on each other more than ever lately and have a really close relationship,” an insider said.
However, it seems to be getting too close for comfort in Miller’s eyes. “Their growing bond is getting to be a bit much when Ben spends all the holidays with them, like Christmas and Thanksgiving. John feels like a third wheel.”
