However, a source gave insight into how the couple operates — and how Miller differs greatly from Garner’s ex.
A friend of Garner’s told Life & Style that Garner is “a little bit uptight and ‘Type A’ about everything,” which is one of her best qualities. Garner has a “reputation” in Hollywood for being an “involved and serious mom.” As for Miller, he has much different qualities than Affleck. While Affleck could occasionally act like “a giant ball of stress,” Miller differs.
“The relationship with John came about because he is pretty much the opposite of Ben Affleck,” the insider alleged. “He’s a relaxed guy with nothing to prove, not a giant ball of stress with a chip on his shoulder like Ben can be on his worst days.”
Unfortunately, the insider added that some folks close to Garner and Miller don’t see their relationship working long-term. The couple reportedly hit bumps in the road in the past. The source claimed Garner and Miller have “wildly different personalities,” with Garner giving “everything she has” to make her dreams come true. “John just doesn’t have that DNA in him,” the insider continued, “and it’s always going to make common ground between him and Jen elusive.”

“Jen and John have taken a lot more trips to Europe than people realize,” the source continued. “Paris is one of their favorite escapes, and they’ve decided getting married there this coming spring is something they want to do.”

The exes started the day by teaming up with Midnight Mission to feed 2,000 homeless and near-homeless people in the Los Angeles area. Affleck then headed over to Garner’s for dinner.
An insider explained how Affleck feels extremely comfortable with Garner amidst his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. “Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her,” the source explained to Page Six. “Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she’s the mother of his kids.”
