Jennifer Garner and John Miller started dating in 2018 — the same year Garner and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce. Before Garner and Miller’s relationship began, she and Affleck were married for 13 years and had a happy relationship for 10 years. After Affleck and Garner’s split, Garner clicked with Miller. Recent sources suggest the couple is getting serious about marriage.
Unfortunately, in 2024, Affleck seemed to take much of Garner’s time with his marital issues with Jennifer Lopez. Affleck confided in his ex-wife and looked to her for guidance. Now that Lopez and Affleck are officially divorcing, Miller is allegedly “looking forward” to the split.
“John doesn’t like sharing Jen, and there is a divide when it comes to her and Ben,” an insider told DailyMail.com. “He wishes it wasn’t like that because he understands they are a family, but it gets to him like it would anyone.”
The insider added that Miller doesn’t “fear” Garner and Affleck will fall back in love. However, he wants Garner’s attention back on their relationship.
“John is looking forward to Ben and J.Lo’s split being done so he can start focusing on Jen,” the source continued. “Bumpy roads recently are looking to be smoothed out.”
The insider noted that Garner and Miller “want to be in a better place” after all is said and done with Affleck and Lopez.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s problems reportedly put stress on Jennifer Garner. A source told Life & Style that John Miller didn’t want to compete for Garner’s attention, thus causing him and Garner to separate.
“Jen’s had so much going on with Ben, it just took a toll,” the insider noted, adding, “And she and John ended up going their separate ways. It wasn’t her choice.”
“Ben’s been turning to Jen [Garner] for advice and support, and that’s been a big source of annoyance for John,” the source continued. “He doesn’t enjoy competing with her ex-husband for her attention.”
While strain might be present between Garner and Miller, another source said the couple remains together.
“She’s happy with John,” a source told People.
The source who spoke to DailyMail.com also verified that Miller and Garner are still together. “Friends feel that they will be together for a long time,” they added. “They are very private.”
The couple might be looking forward to a quiet wedding
Jennifer Garner and John Miller prefer to keep their relationship private. However, a source told Life & Style that Miller likely got down on one knee for Garner two years ago, and the couple now hopes to plan a wedding.
“John spent a long time making Jen an engagement ring and gave it to her two years ago, around April 2022, which is when she turned 50,” the source alleged.
So, where will the couple tie the knot? The insider noted that the couple might consider Malibu because Miller owns land there.
“They are perfect for each other,” the source added. “John really is her other half. She’s told friends, ‘I’ve never known love like this!’”
