In 2022, they tied the knot in Vegas and had a larger celebration in Georgia. Lopez raved about Affleck in her documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
Unfortunately, by mid-2024, Bennifer fans knew their relationship was doomed. Lopez and Affleck spent the summer of 2024 apart, with Affleck residing in Los Angeles and Lopez spending most of her time in the Hamptons in New York. Lopez’s divorce filing in August 2024 listed their official date of separation as April 26, 2024.
In September 2024, Lopez opened up to Nikki Glaser in Interview Magazine about her life after the divorce filing. Lopez explained that certain aspects of her life didn’t work out as she pictured. “And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go,'” she said.
Glaser asked Lopez if she regretted the “pain” she’d recently gone through, alluding to the divorce from Affleck.
“Not one second,” Lopez said. “That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F***, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me really hard over the head with a f***ing sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. Don’t have to do it again.'”

“She decided to do some introspection — she says four divorces will do that,” the insider explained. “Get ready for an all-new J.Lo — she wants to start a new chapter.”
“J. Lo was so in love with him and grateful for a second chance. She was all-in,” the source added. “She thought Ben was, too. So, she was heartbroken when it started to fall apart.”

However, other insiders allege that Lopez might be ready to date sooner rather than later. As for Ben Affleck, he’s allegedly looking to get into great shape for new dating prospects. A source told In Touch Weekly that Affleck’s “divorce has him wanting to really buff up and get into the best possible shape—especially now that he’s back on the dating scene.”
