Affleck and Lopez rekindled their flame in 2021 and finally tied the knot in 2002. However, by mid-2024, reports claimed that the couple was looking toward a possible divorce, as they had severe incompatibilities they couldn’t work through.
Lopez and Affleck have yet to address the divorce rumors as of their second wedding anniversary on July 16, 2024. And the couple seems to be spending the day on opposite coasts. Affleck appears to still be in Los Angeles, while Lopez has stayed in the Hamptons in New York since the Fourth of July.
So, what did the couple do for their first wedding anniversary? Just Jared reported that Lopez wore a white mini-dress when she and Affleck went out to dinner on July 16, 2023, at the Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.
In August 2023, Lopez posted a sweet tribute to Affleck for their anniversary. While the couple tied the knot in Vegas in July, they had another wedding for family and friends at Affleck’s Georgia estate a month later.
Lopez posted photos from their second wedding on Instagram with the quote:

They’re reportedly ‘trying to focus on their loved ones’ and likely spending time apart in 2024
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seem to hope to stay out of the spotlight on their second wedding anniversary in 2024. While Lopez could wait until August 2024 to post about the anniversary, the couple is reportedly “focusing on their loved ones” during this time instead of each other.
“Jen and Ben have been trying to focus on their loved ones while spending time apart,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Jen and Ben are both keeping their kids and respective families at the forefront of their minds as they move through these changes.”
The source added that the couple hopes to present themselves “in a positive way” for the good of their blended family. Lopez has twins, while Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Despite reports of a rift, fans noticed that Lopez had her wedding ring displayed in a July 2024 Instagram story.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had a joyous wedding day. Ryan Wolfe, the lead pastor at Grace Christian Center of Las Vegas, told People that the couple shared an “emotional moment” while sharing their vows.
“You can definitely see the love that they have for each other,” he said.
Wolfe added that the couple wanted a “regular wedding” without all the bells and whistles.
“At the end of the ceremony, they were almost giddy excited, jumping around,” Wolfe continued. “You could tell [the two kids] also were close, had a good relationship, really liked each other. They were very excited and you could tell they really were happy.”
