Jennifer Lopez’s Co-Star Said He Wore a ‘D*ck Tie’ to Avoid ‘Accidents’ During Their Sex Scene
Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Guzman got hot and heavy during a sex scene for The Boy Next Door. J.Lo’s co-star, Ryan Guzman, spoke about the scene and how he prepared. He revealed what he had to do so he could avoid having an “accident” while filming that racy scene.

Lopez played Claire Peterson in the 2015 movie The Boy Next Door. Claire is a woman who feels unsure of herself after a divorce. During an interview with the Build Series, Lopez says Claire is in her late 30s to early 40s, and she’s at a point in her life where she isn’t feeling as desirable. She craves validation, and she gets that when a much younger man (Noah Sandborn) gives her attention. He happens to be her neighbor, and he’s just 19 years old.
Claire gives into Noah’s advances, and she ends up sleeping with him. This complicates her personal and work life. Lopez tells the Build Series she felt Claire was a relatable character because many people can identify with her situation.

Guzman spoke about filming his sex scene with Lopez. He says they had to make sure the scene looked realistic, so they were both wearing little clothing. Guzman tells Cosmopolitan he had to wear something around his nether regions so he wouldn’t have an “accident” while interacting with Lopez. This involved wearing a sock and something he calls a “d*ck tie.”
“It’s this elastic thing on this sock where you make it as tight as you can so that you get no blood flow or anything going on, and it kind of holds on to your man parts so the sock isn’t, you know, pulled off during the scene,” says Guzman.

Guzman admits he was anxious about doing the sex scene with Lopez. He tells E! this was the first time he did a sex scene on camera. However, Lopez helped him through it.
“She was the one who kept me at ease,” says Guzman. “She talked me down. She said, ‘We’re going to do this [and] we’re going to do that. Everything is going to be fun. You’re going to have fun.’ It was.”
The nerves were so intense for the actors that they ended up having a case of the giggles. Guzman says they were laughing so much when they were in bed together that the director had to tell them to stop and compose themselves.
“I looked at her, and I think she started busting up laughing and then I started busting up laughing because she was laughing,” Guzman tells E! “Finally, [Director Rob Cohen] was like after five minutes, ‘Guys, let’s get back to work.’”

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Lopez says she wouldn’t be offended if her co-star didn’t get excited during a racy scene. “I don’t care,” she tells Seacrest. “Let’s just get the scene over with. I get mine at home; I’m good. I’m not here for that; I like keeping it professional. I don’t need it to get messy at work.”
